TCR Virtual Is Live + Free Mod Download

TCR Virtual is now officially open! You can find all the information for how to join in the fun below as well as details for accessing the part 1 of the mod featuring cars from Honda, Lynk&Co, Hyundai, Cupra, Audi, Peugeot and Alfa Romeo.

You can take part in a qualifying race right now! just head over to Simracing.GP and join the TCR Virtual community and sign up for a qualifying race. Remember, the aim of the qualifying races isn't to win, all you need to do is finish the race with no incidents. You can take part in as many qualifying races as you like until you manage to complete a race with no incidents.

The qualifying races are only 10 mins long and we have scheduled 24/7 servers so you should always be able to find a race to jump in to. The objective of qualifying is to demonstrate that you can handle your car in a race environment not that you are the quickest on the planet so go easy, get to the end of the race with no spins, no contacts and no off tracks. There is a minimum of four drivers needed on each race otherwise we deem this as non contest and the race will be void.

Download Mod

To download the mod all you need to do is join the TCR Virtual community on Simracing.GP and join a qualifying race. From there you will find the download links for the cars and the track needed for the qualifying races.

TCR Virtual is a truly unique format. We have listened to the feedback and the dislike of hotlap leaderboards and created a new knockout style tournament which means you have to race your way to victory. For more information on the competition you can keep up to date by visiting the TCR Virtual website - https://www.simracing.gp/tcr-virtual

For competitors - please join the Discord for up to the minute information - https://discord.gg/tcrvirtual

Good luck and have fun guys.

Hi mate. We are expecting a higher than usual traffic due to the amount of people trying to download the mod.

Don't worry. We've got 4 weeks of quali things will calm down shortly.
Yeah true just confusing why the mod was released so close to the competition going live even 12hrs earlier would have spread the demand a bit anyway I'm sure there's a reason behind it.

Bullcrap? Really? I have put 6 months of my life into this project and we don't ask for a penny. No entry fee, no charge for the download. All we ask is that you get involved in the competition.

If that's an unfair exchange of value then I don't know what is.
I just want the cars, I have no interest in the championship. And I can't just download the cars, I need to get through some extra steps. It's not that I don't appreciate your work, it's just something that should be simple, is unnecessarily complicated. No to mention the problems with download.

Will be downloading & getting involved.
Thanks in advance for your (& whoever else has helped) time bringing the mod FOC and for the competition

Haha, I guess I got lucky - I randomly refreshed the official TCR Virtual website, which already had the link to SGP live, joined, downloaded the cars and the track without issue and when I then clicked on RD to check things, I saw this article published "1m ago". I guess that's when the real server load began.

Steve rest assured i think i speak for the majority when i say i cant thank you enough for this opportunity to race. This comes from a man who sits under the stairs in a humble steering wheel/ vr setup and cant wait to enjoy this competition. A good job sir and dont be disheartened by people who dont appreciate.

Competition and organization aside, which is cool and props to those involved, I am quite disappointed with how the cars look. Can we expect more detail or this is close to the final state?

Don't get me wrong, free is free, but there are much higher quality free stuff, including the recent Cupra TCR from TMM as direct "competition" as far as the mod itself goes.

All in all, wishing everyone a lot of fun racing.
