Let's Go Racing: SimRacing Unlimited Hosts GT1 Revival in Assetto Corsa

With the holidays right around the corner, it is not just time for Christmas, but also some community spirit - which is why SimRacing Unlimited is hosting two GT1 Revival races in Assetto Corsa on Tuesday night. RaceDepartment will be on the grid, and you can be, too!

The RSS GT Pack has to rank among the best mods ever created, as the car models and sounds are absolutely spectacular. GT1 cars from circa 2003 are always a blast to drive, which is exactly what we are going to do in two 30-minute races: Our first contest takes us to Donington Park, the second race will take place at Spa-Francorchamps - both circuits at which these cars raced back in the day in the FIA GT championship.

Want to re-live those GTR2 vibes from yesteryear? There are still a few grid spots available - should you not have anything planned on Tuesday night from 7pm CET onwards, we would love to see you on track! Simply join the SimRacing Unlimited community on simracing.gp and sign up for both races.

Of course, spectating is also an option: The races will be live streamed on RaceDepartment's Twitch channel, while SimRacing Unlimited will also feature a full broadcast of the event on their Twitch channel for German-speaking viewers. Korbinian Rubenbauer will serve as a commentator for SRU's stream.

Just got this pack actually, having a blast with them!
Has to be one of the best mods for AC. These things are challenging, but so rewarding to drive!

Ferrari 550 and Saleen OP. :whistling:
Running a championship with those great cars since months. ;)
Are they? I feel the 550 is a step above the rest, but on the other hand, the Saleen felt extremely good around Spa - we'll see what happens tonight :D

Last race we had was at LeMans, 550 was 15km/h faster at the straights compared to my Lambo ... which is a blast on the brakes tho. :)

I drove all cars preseason at Fuji, a long straight, fast and also slow corners, and for me personally only the 550 and the Lambo were my choice for the season. Well, I decided to take the Lambo bc a bunch of others already took the 550. Wasnt my best idea ever. :D

Only three races left until the end of our season with this cars.

But you can always talk to the RSS guys at their discord, which also includes the discord of simracing.gp, to setup races with those cars. :)

Unfortunately, i have signed up for a race this evening with race dept otherwise i would be racing with you today. I will definitely look out for your up and coming events though. Unfortunately , i am not clued up on the practice of organising events. I notice you have not used this format for staging races so how do i find your season info? :)

WAIT!! You have to pay for this mod? No thanks, I'll just download one of the other thousand fantastic GT mods for AC and run that instead.. Nice try..

you do that! It's not a bad option and literally nobody is forcing you! This is just a post that says "hey, if you got these cars, come race with us here!". That ain't a bad thing!

Besides, no vehicle from RSS has let me down just yet, they produce great content that looks fantastic and has the drive to match the looks.

You can always check out some of their free content(formula cars) here: https://racesimstudio.com/shop

Valentin, make sure you download the track from the link at simracing.gp, sometimes a different version is used compared to what you might have.

Stephen, make sure there's no caching going on in CM.
