How to Find Automobilista 2's Easter Egg at Cleveland

Reiza Studios snuck in a tunnel system to explore at the Cleveland Burke Lakefront Airport Circuit, and here is how to find it.

A number of videos have surfaced online with Automobilista 2 players exploring a tunnel system under the Cleveland circuit. This is an Easter Egg that Reiza Studios left for owners of the Racin's USA DLC to discover. Spoiler Alert: if you want to discover this on your own, don't read on.

The tunnel system takes players underground to either of two points. The first is a lighthouse, which affords you a good view of Reiza's recreation of downtown Cleveland. If you drive past the lighthouse turnoff in the tunnel system, you'll eventually come to a services building. I won't ruin it for you, but Reiza left a note for you on the counter to read and learn more about the building you're in and a bit about its history.

If you're wondering how to find this tunnel system, the good news is that it's easy to find. After exiting the pits, continue on track and round turn 5. Instead of turning right for turn 6, continue north toward a cargo crane. You'll need to cross some grass, then you should find service roads. Follow the service roads until you reach a T-corner. Turn left at the T, then you will be nearing a ship and the cargo crane. Drive onto the dock and turn left, which will be the tunnel entrance.

When the tunnel widens, stay left to access the lighthouse. If you want to reach the second building, keep to the right and after a long straight tunnel you'll wind your way up to the building. To read the not Reiza left us, simply enter photo mode and choose the Drone camera. You can then use WASD and your mouse to move the camera and position it above the note.

So, what's the point of the Easter Egg for sim racers? Fun. In a genre that often runs the risk of taking itself too seriously, it's nice to have a little break.

...you are aware that there's a difference between programmer and 3D artist, right? It's not the same people doing both.
Much rather the artist had the time to add all these eggs because the coding part of the update/DLC whatever took more time.
thx for clarification. Better to write : Reiza think twice when it comes to human resources usage ….

The tunnels are good for testing top speed of cars, they're really long! I still wonder how well modelled down town is though up close

I think it's still legal for people to do whatever they want during weekends and off-time. So i did ;)
There is more internal purpose for them, but i've left them be in public version just for the case of 'why not'.
...do you mean you made that track for Reiza? I assume the tunnel could be useful for illumination tests

Good to see they are still prioritizing their resources to deliver the promised DLC, Spa and the Nord as per the Dev update.

I lived near downtown Cleveland for 10 years and love the history of that city. I'm blown away that someone in Reiza would care enough to model this. I had never read about the history of the water intake tunnels, but I was familiar with the 5 mile crib (that's the orange thing out in the lake, a drinking water intake) and I certainly didn't know about the tragedy that took place while building it. This is just SO cool of them to include as an Easter Egg.

You are one of the reasons people can't have nice things. Bring your toxicity to some kind of FIFA community where you belong.
So other people can only have your view or you feel the need to throw insults. Reality check is that you are every other toxic reason you don't have nice things. Go back to your cave you bigoted troglodyte and leave sim racing for sim racers.
