TT Isle of Man - Ride on The Edge 3 Reveals First Gameplay

One of the best-ever motorcycle racing games is coming back soon! Check out this first bit of gameplay from the new Isle of Man TT game.

In this gameplay video, the first part of the Snaefell Mountain Course on the Isle of Man can be witnessed ridden on a high-end superbike. The YouTube description mentions that "the slightest mistake can be fatal" on the Isle of Man.

While that is true, the safety of digital content protects our fragile human bodies. Therefore, you will be able to be safe while riding through the mountains.

While previous entries into the TT Isle of Man gaming franchise were developed by KT Racing, who also developed the WRC games until Generations, this new game is being developed by RaceWard Studio. You might know that developer from RiMS Racing, the previous of its titles, released in August 2021.

We'll have to see whether this change in the development team affects the "Very Positive" reviews the previous titles have garnered on Steam. Let's assume the best-case scenario, however, and hope to see those rating change to "Overwhelmingly Positive".

TT Isle of Man: Ride on the Edge 3 will be available May 2023 on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch.

Are you looking forward to this title? Let us know in the comments down below!

Since I'm not a game controller player and my sim rig is not even remotely close to accomodating a motorcycle, my interest is about nil.

I have watched video the TT event and those guys are insane!

I played the 2nd TT Isle of Man game for some time. The physics felt a bit wonky at places, but I really liked it, the sense of speed (and the sense of danger) was great on board and in chase cam. The Sidecars were great fun. Might be something to have an eye on.

Yeah. And its quite understandable that so few RL GP riders have participated in this race.
To the best of my knowledge a few more superbike riders have done it.
But honestly I dont know how they dare.
It looks 99% suicide :cautious:

I would guess most RL riders that have a big contracts, its a no go from the team. That competition would be a great way to lose your rider, even if just a season... but could be worse.

This game's color grading looks worse with each iteration. The 3rd one is the greyest of them all. Graphics are anything but current gen, but I liked the physics on the first two. The sense of speed is better than in many of today's sims.

Nothing new..... nothing.
The bike sound is still poor... i would even pay few hundred bucks to one of this "street racers" from Youtube and stick an micro on their bike to record proper bike sound. Is that really so hard?

The track itself is ok but its copy and paste from previous TTs.
So zero efford from this devs.

They need to model only the bike...i prefer to drive in the "drivers view" so even there are just few visible elements and that what i see is crap.
And even that they cant do properly, the materials look so bad so i just ask where is here the graphical advantage of an game released in mid 2023??

TT has a good potential and there are only few (also crappy) bike games so this could be a big chance but no... again copy & paste stuff.
No thx.

It's like F1 driver going to WRC. Different sport.

the devs are no more Kylotonn, finally, they lost WRC licence and TT, what a good new !
I have both TT game, so I will buy the 3 at day one, it's the best TT game, the track is amazing, and with RIM'S devs, I have more hope.
I have +70hours in the previous game and I don't know perfetly the Snaefell track.
Playing TT isle of man 2 at 4k 120fps ultra with an OLED 4K 48" Asus and 4090 was my best last racing experience.
If I like a game like that, it's cause I don't like oval racing....I like using my brain and memorise the track.

I really hope that some people will like this title, but not me. No thank you, best of luck and loads of fun to whomever drops cash on this game.

I was expecting at least something more photorealistic. The lighting engine to me does feel too flat. When the footage started. I noticed that blooming artificial effect reminding me 10+ years old racing games. Not for me, judging from this gameplay footage.

A) It IS England after all, and,
B) Because it is England after all, why isn't it raining?

RiMS suffered from the exact same issues TTIOM2 did. Meaning weird physics. Losing grip without excuse, even crashing for no apparent reason. Doesn't matter who the developer is. KT engine is GARBAGE. Both in terms of visuals and physics.

Same engine as WRC games, so it looks just as bad as WRC games. DUH.

thank you for sharing that with us

so you choosing games strictly if their graphic engine can deliver ray tracing or not ?

This one's a hard pass.
1) RiMS Racing developer. RiMS Racing was a scam. I do not reward scammers. They couldn't even bother to fix the controls in RiMS Racing. Paid full price for a....broken DEMO.
2) TT isn't interesting enough. I have huge respect for the guys who are going flat out on public roads, but as a game...kinda boring. There's no variety.
3) KT Engine. Bad graphics, bad physics. Had enough of it with WRC games, TTIOM and TTIOM 2. No more.

Ride 4 still satisfies all my motorcycle racing needs. EWC,SBK,TT,BSB,AMA,Superstock,Supersport...two strokes....it's all there. Not officially, but still there.
