Gran Turismo released more details today about its 25th Anniversary celebrations, including more details about the update to come on Thursday.

Players will be glad to finally get a new track in the form of Road Atlanta (the info was leaked by the german version of the Gran Turismo website).

The Ferrari VGT, teased yesterday, is also confirmed to be a part of this update, although it won't be available right away. In an effort to increase engagement with their esports series and broadcasts, Gran Turismo will offer in-game rewards for answering correctly several sets of questions about the World Finals broadcasts. those rewards include in-game credits, parts and engine tickets, and an early access to the Ferrari VGT on December 15th. The car itself will be revealed during Sunday's stream.

Additionally, you can once again log in the game and try to predict who will win each competition to get an extra credits bonus, but this time, there will also be another way to boost your virtual bank account. From November 24th to December 5th, Sport Mode races will have a 2x, 5x or 10x multiplier on their usual rewards, depending on the type of event. A special section will even allow people to take part in races recreating the World Final events after the champions are crowned - doing so will give you a special edition of the RedBull X2019. The custom liveries used during the event will also be made available through the recommended tab of the search function.

The competitions will be hosted over 4 days, with each livestream featuring special moments, such as another Sophy AI showcase race and guests such as sir Lewis Hamilton, who will probably be racing in a promotional race against some of the competitors. All live streams can be seen on the Gran Turismo YouTube channel at 8:00am PST (1600 UTC) each day.

So, nothing about selling cars yet!

I must say though, Road Atlanta sounds a nice one to have, it's in my top five for GTR2, but again totally uninterested in the VGT crap, just seeing one in a race ruins all immersion for me.
But I only pop in once a month or so because there's nothing I want to do in the game, if there were repeatable Enduro races for a variety of classes (not just GT3 that every race sim seems to be obsessed with) I could find an interest again.

Kas, do you mind if I call you that? (in the unlikely event that you read this or any comments at all)
So Kaz, stop making us grind and make us enjoy what we do while playing.
: Selling the unwanted cars, (generate a few bucks to edge towards the pricy cars and sell em' back if we hate em')
: Endurance Races and Championships (saveable in race/championship) with decent, not over the top rewards
: Qualifying, for the love of the Gods bring that back.
: Adjustable HUD and or seating position, I can't see the mirrors when covered with hud junk, and I know I can look out the back but.... Murshun (yeah, I only ever drive from inside, it's the way I play em')

Finally a track that is indeed a great addition to the roster, RA is to me one of the best tracks in the world and in a league with every big name out there.

*Slow clapping.*

Yeah... go ahead and add all the race tracks in the world to GT7, I wouldn't even bother to think about that abysmal game.

Not if you're seeing a Daihatsu Copen Racing Jacket, good god... even a '67 Mini goes harder than that thing, what a BS design. :roflmao:

last time i checked artists working on tracks and car models are not the ones responsible for ingame progression and other mechanics, so you are barking up the wrong tree here mate.

Honestly i don't see the option to sell cars ever happening on this Gran Turismo.

Its collection inspired goals are in the way.
