Wait ... So F1 Manager 2022 Suddenly Has Multiple Updates Upcoming?

1500x500.jpg
If you didn't catch the recent Reddit post about the remaining development of F1 Manager 2022, there was an announcement about "the last significant update that addresses player-reported feedback, or suggested changes and additions". After massive backlash, Frontier Development seems to have realised leaving the game semi-finished may not be the best move.

Last week, Frontier Development announced on the F1 Manager Subreddit that the development focus of the F1 Manager team would shift focus to new titles.

We received an email informing us that the F1 Manager developer now undoes that decision.

They state
To be crystal clear: we will continue to support F1 Manager 2022, with multiple updates currently in the pipeline, focused on addressing the most important topics raised by the community.

This stands in stark contrast to the previous statement that
This next update for F1 Manager 2022 will be the last significant update that addresses player-reported feedback, or suggested changes and additions. Any potential updates following this would be minor patches that do not noticeably affect gameplay.

One could assume that the backlash received for ending a game's support after 2 months was not anticipated to be as large by Frontier.

Obviously, it came differently, riots ensued and now the decision to focus purely on the upcoming (presumed) title of F1 Manager 2023 was reversed.

It remains to be seen how this assumed backpedalling will reflect on the mood of the fans, supporters as well as haters and even bystanders of F1 Manager 2022.

One thing is for certain, however: There will need to be action following this announcement of multiple updates, otherwise, upcoming F1 Manager games could be in deep trouble.

Smart decision by Frontier whose continued development of other management games has led to great experiences for me...

They really should release DLC for the next season and get the base game right... Then they could also licence some older cars and tracks and release those as DLC...

Rather than a yearly cycle of hope that bugs will be squashed only to find out the devs spent their time on new content not squashing bugs...

I agree. Although I suspect the yearly game is something stipulated by the f1 license

And this last update completely sucks. They only update the models to changes to the front wing to the point noses of cars have dents in them... Unbelievable.
