WRC 23: Rumours from Insiders

WRC 23 Game.jpg
As many of you know, this is the last year before Codemasters hands over the WRC license. Many of us had a remote hope to see a Dirt Rally 3 before this happened, but the last leaks (or rumours) point in a different direction.

These rumours, already published in a couple of sites, supposedly coming directly from EA employees announcing that Dirt Rally 3 have been cancelled in favour of WRC's new title. A game with an unexpected new feature that could be game changing for a franchise like this.

Last titles have a big problem; lack of models due to be linked to the official WRC license. Now they will let us build our own rally car picking parts and components of different range and status.

My doubt is if only internal parts will be allowed or external chassis also. It could be a nice moment race against modern cars showing an old fashion ride, as we have seen in other much less restricted competitions. Insider also claims that game will feature 16 classes gathering all WRC categories.

There is still time to work and for time being, we have to see what Kylotonn can deliver this last year in WRC Generations.

I'm so happy that Codemasters got the WRC license ! Reaaaally happy.
Look what they did with the F1 franchise and imagine what they will do with WRC. The real ambiance, the nice graphics, the real sounds, etc. My only concern is the physics. Let's hope a balance of Dirt Rally Series and RBR.
Kyloton WRC series disgusted me so bad, year after year, it has been like patches instead of a new game. If only they had implemented real sound, this would be a game changer. My ears can't hear this ugly sound anymore, how can it be possible in this advanced era of video game. Devs have NO EXCUSES. Hopefully, AgentHex007 if you know him in the racedepartment forum, has created wonderful Mods for WRC 8 to improve the game.

In the meantime I'm always playing RBR and I'm still amazed, real sound, lot of various tracks, new mod, new codrivers, new NGP. Just install RBPRO and/or Rallysimfans and that's it.
RBR is the king of rally sim. Sure not easy for arcade gamers but if Codemasters can bring a gameplay like NGP 3 at least, I would be happy.
I can't wait to see their game in action. One year to wait...

WRC generation from what I have seen, is a big package of tracks and cars they released through the years. But same horrible sound, same gameplay, same physics, same ambiance. Where is the weight transfer ? Where is the crowd, where is the ambiance ? I'm wandering if they have ever went to a rally event... I will surely play their last game but I have no hope. Cheers ^^

Even WRC 10 doesnt work properly with modern hardware. what do you expect?
Is WRC10 keyboard only navigation as well?
I've always hated titles which adopt that silly system. Seems a bit lazy and lacking.
As to not being able to run WRC7 on my wheel....I'd be seriously 'ticked' if I'd paid more.
Fortunately it was a Steam sale...so not too painful.
I got to run it on two occasions prior to selling my T500RS in favor of the R9.
I would like it to work but at this point, I can't be bothered and I sure won't be taking the chance the new one won't run.

^^
Imagine due the licensing having access to the cars and not record them.....
This is the most stupid thing ever.
Instead they used some synthetic crap.

But beside this point the messed it up to forget to implement proper...ehm... generally the FFB :D:rolleyes:

So this most important things were missing from the beginning.

Kylotonn are the worst developpers in the world, the 3D engine is lacking all the most important features...(DLSS, gsync, VR, HDR, triple screen, Telemetry)

I want to see in WRC 23, in addition to the official season, the inclusion of several iconic cars for us to "assemble" our "classic" seasons over the years. If I was already very good in Dirt Rally 2 and WRC 11... by putting together ( 2 in 1 ) I expect even better results. But please don't forget this time a "Hot Seat Mode" to get friends together in the same place "offline", it's a lot of fun. Nobody thinks about it anymore. The series "by Geoff Crammond" was fantastic with that in the "alternate turn modes" and early 2011's series of WRC games.
