Steam Summer Sale to Include Tons of Sim Racing Offers

Have you been thinking of getting a new sim? Well now is the time! The Steam Summer Sale started recently and includes tons of sim racing offers! Of course, more casual games are also included for your off-time entertainment.

Assetto Corsa

Assetto Corsa and all it's DLC are highly reduced. The Ultimate Edition including the base game and every DLC is currently 90% off. That's less than 10$ for a still great sim with immense modding capabilities.
Not to mention that according to Steam statistics, Assetto Corsa is still the most played simulator on the platform.

Assetto Corsa Competizione

Every piece of content for Kunos' newest title is currently on sale. If you want to try out arguably the best esports title for racing that even FIA endorses, look no further. 66% off the base game and 60% off of every DLC except for the newest Challengers Pack. You do get a 10% discount for this recent content pack, however.
Oh and don't forget that ACC is probably the best title you can get if you want to race in private leagues currently.

Automobilista

Both Automobilista titles and all their DLCs are currently on sale.

Automobilista 1 is a great title for modding. Using the isiMotor engine, mods still come out to this day. The base game and season pass are off 75%.

AMS2 features a great selection of content and good AI. Currently, the base game is 60% off while the DLC are 30% off.

iRacing

If you want to try getting into iRacing, now is a good chance as any. As a new user, you currently get up to 31% off your new subscription. DLC are not on sale on steam.

iRacing's clear strength is its officially organised online ranked races. Servers are seldom empty. And for increasingly more tracks iRacing also offers a great singleplayer experience.

rFactor 2

This marvel of modding capabilities is currently reduced by a whole 80%. Due to the nature of rFactor 2's DLC model, the individual content pieces are not reduced. A special summer "Showdown Pack" is for sale however featuring 8 cars and 3 tracks. This pack features a 63% discount in total, however, if you own some of the content in the pack already, the pack will not be cheaper.

Other Selected Offers

DiRT Rally 2.0 GotY Edition-70%
MotoGP™22-40%
Project CARS 2 Deluxe-85%
BeamNG.drive-20%
CarX Drift Racing Online-59%
Circuit Superstars-25%
Ride 4-75%
Forza Horizon 5-20%

To conclude, this summer sale includes something for every racing fan.

Is there anything you are getting? Let us know in the comments below!

The way they handle DLC is the biggest reason I don't spend any time, or money, on rf2. I've had the base game for quite a while, but only spent about 4 hours with it. I won't support the crap way they've implemented the DLC.
I can understand not supporting them further financially for now (for you because of DLC implementation, for me it's AI issues :roflmao:) but I would urge you to at least install the base game, unsubscribe from all the 397 cars/tracks in the Steam Workshop you don't want, and give it a try again with mods like tracks like the IOM TT course or modded Daytona 2022 and cars like F1 1991, the Acura DPi, or the Stock Car 2018X.

Even without DLC, I've had such fun with rF2 just driving. Totally worth the few dollars I spent on it in a sale and the bit of hard drive space it takes.

Guys let's not turn this into a rF2 bashing thread, keep it on topic please.
I suspect that most of us already have most of these games and dlc already anyway but for those that don't staying on topic is helpful.

Well, to get us back on topic I (re-)purchased ACC now I've upgraded my graphics card and wow, it's amazing. I'll never be able to put the time into it I want but the driving is so fun. I think I'll give up trying to get on with AMS2 and stick to AC and ACC for the time being (also bought the latest VRC cars and they are also amazing).

The issue is not how the DLCs are distributed but S397 not being able to set up a propper offer for a big Steam sale since couple of years. Where is the problem to sell existing packs with a proper discount, how it was done a couple of years ago. Now they create new packs for those sales that fragment the content even more. It makes no sense.

It's difficult, but I hear you.

Moving on... for all of those, like me, who have every driving sim already (exception being iRacing) why not get out of your comfort zone and try something different.

I normally use cdkeys. I got all the main Sims at a fraction of the price of Steam. Even when it's on sale. The only game I struggle with is the DLC for Automobalista 2. It's never cheap. It's a shame as I don't play it because of that. I love a bargain.

I thought paying $100 or whatever it was at the beginning of AMS2 was stupid expensive but the effort level and delivery Reiza has shown and the entire year extension beyond what was even promised makes me think I got a steal

Must admit I got RF2 to give it another go as the price was really good. Last time I played it I got a refund as the UI sucked and didn't like the driving experience at all. Since then I've read some positive things so thought I'd give it a go - WOW!

I decided to get the Le Mans track to see what the quality was like. A few hours later and I've purchased the Endurance 1 pack and having a blast!

The dry to wet transition is the best I've experienced, graphics are a tad dated yes but they look fine to me on high and the sunset I tried earlier was fantastic.

The feeling of the cars on the edge is really good, probably better than ACC actually IMO. In ACC I find it's more down to the experience you have in the car to know when it's going to let go, on RF2 I have jumped in to a few different cars and could push early on and feel what's going on.

Don't get me wrong, I'm still an ACC guy but for a blast in GTE and LMP cars RF2 is brilliant.
Rf2 is the best you can get,

Which is the best of the WRC versions (WRC5, WRC 7 WRC 10 etc...)?
Is that series better than the Dirt Rally title?
I am looking for a decent rally sim.
I tried Dirt Rally 2.0 at the last sale and it was pure junk...absolutely disappointing.
Refunded almost immediately.
Cars felt like they were loaded with steel rods....no inertia...no coast, etc...
Horrible attempt at simulating a rally car.

Also wondering this...
Heard WRC9 was quite good. And has a good overhaul mod?
Need to see if this has been transferred to WRC10.
Which one to grab people? :D

WRC10 is the latest with the latest improvement in their physics model. Performance and graphics are pretty **** though.

Even haters can give Project CARS 2 a chance at this price. I was in that group and I convinced myself to pull the trigger last time there was a Steam sale, and with one of the latest custom FFB files, it is a surprisingly good experience. A faux WEC type mixed class race at one of your favourite tracks in changing weather conditions is quite fun!
Would love to see an influx of online players in pcars 2. With a proper custom FFB file it's like a completely different game. Career mode is a ton of fun too.

On rally - I've heard second hand that WRC 10 has greatly improved physics even over WRC 9, but suffers from bugs and uneven AI that ruin the single player. Plus you can't see in the night in cockpit view in WRC 10, from what I've seen. Is all this consistent with what other people have seen or experienced? If so, it's a shame, because the modern rally cars appeal to me, and the WRC game stages are OUTSTANDING.

EDIT: really, the best rally sim remains RBR modded e.g. the RallySimFans edition. Dated graphics, but outstanding "feel for the car" on tarmac and gravel and snow :)

Another note – I think this will finally be the time I pick up ACC and some of its DLC. :) GT3 cars hold no intrinsic interest for me, but I have enough friends and acquaintances in various communities who race in ACC that it's high time I picked it up for the online racing aspect. Plus, there's laser-scanned Bathurst and Suzuka and Oulton Park... which I love. And since they're more lively than their GT3 brethren, I anticipate enjoying the GT4s e.g. Maserati, Camaro, Porsche, and Ginetta.

Agree, I couldn't agree more! I bought all DLC's of Reiza over time and they are worth double the price because of what Reiza has done the last year.

I also bought half of the RF2 dlc's but i've never been able to use them online because their competition system either has no active players or the content that I bought isn't there and then it forces me to buy something again. And SP racing is not possible because the AI is so bugged. So all those purchases are worthless to me.

It's unique and 96% and 97% positive
There is basically no setup needed to drive so you get decent test time in 2 hour limit
Don't like it throw it back

If you label Dirt Rally 2.0 as junk, don't even bother to play the WRC series then. Your only option would be the free to download Richard Burns Rally.
