A major update has been released for Drift21, which included the legendary Toyota AE86 being added to the title.

Drift21 isn't a title that gets much attention here at RaceDepartment, but a significant update has brought the legendary Toyota AE86 car to players, which should make the drift crowd here at RD happy.

The AE86 gained its legendary status in the drift world thanks in no small part to Initial D, which featured the car prominently. In the sim racing world, Kunos included the AE86 in Assetto Corsa's car lineup, and innumerable YouTube drift videos ensued.

Though player counts for Drift21 aren't spectacular, developer ECC GAMES are still hard at work to bring their customers the best game they can make. The title first came to Steam in the spring of last year, and improvements have been steady since. Though the name of the game would lead you to believe the focus is solely on drifting, but players are also given access to a garage where maintenance and upgrades can be performed, all the way up to full engine rebuilds.
