Support for SF1000 Wheel and DLSS Support Coming to Assetto Corsa Competizione

Thrustmaster's feature-rich SF1000 wheel will soon be officially supported by Assetto Corsa Competizione, and a video released by NVIDIA shows that DLSS support is also coming.

Developer Kunos Simulazioni has been somewhat quiet with their plans for Assetto Corsa Competizione since their press release in August, which confirmed to fans of the SRO GT3/GT4 simulator that the title would be ported to Gen 9 consoles. But evidently some development resources are still tasked to ACC on PC.

Thrustmaster's SF1000 wheel, which is a replica of the wheel used in the 2020 Ferrari F1 car, will be supported in ACC. This means some of the telemetry shown in the HUD in ACC can now be displayed on the large centre screen of the TM SF1000 wheel, and the many buttons and knobs can be properly configured to adjust vehicle settings. This is an add-on wheel, and is compatible with Thrustmaster TS-XW, T-GT, T300, TX and TS-PC wheelbases.


Another piece of news pertaining to ACC is that DLSS will be coming to the title. NVIDIA shared a video showing the differences in performance utilizing their DLSS system. Note that this is not yet available to players, as Kunos will need to publish an update to the game to implement DLSS support from their end.

DLSS will be interesting, it works really well in a lot of games but only seen it in one other "Sim" title myself and that was a demo version of F1 2021. It seemed to cause some weird visual effects on the back of the cars you were following most notably around the tyres. Didn't buy the full game so don't know whether that was just a demo related oddity. That video looks good though so fingers crossed :thumbsup:
 
Some of you know witch nvidia series card supported this? The 1080 TI have this function?

As far as I know consoles development is not done internally so no resources are distracted by anything but pc coding... maybe I am wrong but this is what I understood by listening to various interviews...
 
DLSS is great news! The NVIDIA video could be a little misleading though, so curious how much a of an actual boost we can expect on (really) high resolution setups.
 
Yes, although it’s like AA so you may need to increase pixel density to counter act. Hopefully the performance gain will be large enough to increase the PD.
That is good news. Running a 3060ti and ACC is the only the sim I'm running that struggles a bit (that and Kartkraft which is terrible)

The bigger the resolution the more the gain since DLSS is only valid in non CPU bound situations, meaning.. only on GPU bound situations, and unfortunately, on Sims that do a lot of calculations, when you are playing with a decent field of cars CPU is usually the major culprit. Unless you really have a shitty GPU...its always a balancing act.

DLSS work with VR?
Yes. Source: Dev answer on official forums. (Not a direct "yes" answer, but implicit.)

It also works with triple-screen resolutions (nvidia surround), which isn't a guarantee out of the box with games that get DLSS support. Source: Dev answer on official forums.
