German sim racing hardware giants, Fanatec, have revealed a new Direct Drive wheelbase - the CSL DD.
  • Available for just £349.95 euros.
  • New Fanatec Direct Drive wheelbase.
  • New, smoother technology.
Supporting the full Fanatec ecosystem of devices, the new CLS DD has been described by Fanatec as 'a giant leap forward', and comes with a new 100% custom motor that has been designed and developed at the Fanatec HQ specifically for use within sim racing. According to the manufacturer, the new motor is set to deliver what has been called "sensational" performance using the new FluxBarrier™ technology, which has been designed to communicate the nuances of force feedback detail with enhanced clarity over current offerings.

Capable of delivering up to 8 Nm of torque and featuring a first for Direct Drive wheels carbon composite motor shaft, it is immediately noticeable that the new unit is somewhat more compact in size that the previous generation of Fanatec Direct Drive wheels - as well as featuring an upgraded Quick Release system over existing products with the Fanatec portfolio.
