Sector 3 pushed a new update to their sim racing title RaceRoom Racing Experience. Amongst several AI and camera adjustments, 3 long-awaited vehicles have finally made it into the GTR 3 class.

The Added Vehicles

Cars, which have previously only existed in other classes, have been added to the general GTR 3 class of RaceRoom.

The first of which, RaceRoom's new poster boy, is the Ferrari 488 EVO. previously only in the DTM 2021 class, it can now also be used in generic GTR 3 races. 14 new liveries are accessible as DLC now.

Surprisingly, the long-awaited Bentley Continental GT3 EVO received a similar treatment. Having only been accessible in the ADAC 2020 series, the British boat now finds its place within the other GTR 3's. 10 new liveries are purchasable here.

Finally, the Mercedes-AMG GT3 2020 EVO was also made available for the general public. Previously, it only existed in DTM 2021 and ADAC 2020 classes, however, 9 liveries are now available in GTR 3.

After supporting this title since launch, I decided to make that decision about 2 yrs ago and haven't thrown a dollar at them since.

The last development they made on track technology, was the 4 preset times of day yrs ago.

A little bit of talk, but no action yet.

We're looking into updating to DX11....2016
We're switching over to a new engine after GTR3 launches...crash and burn
We're gonna switch to DX11 before switching the engine for better performance....nothing

If and when they decide to build on the current engine or move to a new one, ill gladly support the team again.

Tho I will give them credit for turning what was supposed to just be a hot lap game for Raceroom into an actual game. Tho in hindsight they should have just stuck with the Race07 engine which had a lot of the missing track features and remastered it like Reiza did with AMS.
My thoughts are similar.

Been playing this game for nine years and ploughed a fair amount of money into it in that time but R3E just isn't where I hoped it would be. Kind of feels like a dated platform is being milked for all it's worth. I hate typing this because I have a lot of respect for Sector 3 and how they took this game from underwhelming beginnings to being a solid sim, but I suspect R3E cannot continue much longer in its current form, using this engine and this sales model. It's being left behind.
