F1 takes to the Autódromo José Carlos Pace circuit this weekend in Brazil.

Formula One returns to Brazil this weekend after missing the 2020 race. The event will see the return of the sprint qualifying format.

Driver’s championship leader Max Verstappen holds a 19 point lead over Lewis Hamilton at a track both drivers tend to perform well on. Their respective teams, Red Bull and Mercedes, are separated by just one point with Mercedes’ slight edge.

Just four races remain in the 2021 season, with the field travelling to Qatar, Saudi Arabia and Abu Dhabi to close out the year. While Verstappen’s 19-point advantage seems safe at this point, constructor’s standings are more hotly contested. Mercedes’s one point lead could easily swing to Red Bull’s advantage before the end of the year, and the 13.5-point lead Ferrari now holds over McLaren looks to be a tight battle for the remainder of the season.

Behind the four top teams, Alpine and Alphatauri are locked at 106 points each. Pierre Gasly’s impressive 86 points this season have offset Yuki Tsunoda’s 20 at Alphatauri, with Alpine’s points being more balanced at 60 and 46 for Fernando Alonso and Esteban Ocon, respectively.

There remains much to be decided this season in terms of the final driver and constructor rankings. Let us know your thoughts on who might finish ahead of where they are currently ranked, and who will take the win in Sao Paulo this weekend.

Me watching the Dutch (and other assorted Max fans) lose their s*** any time things don't go perfect for their golden god...anytime Max finishes lower than 1st "It's a dirty trick"...:roflmao:

mercedes after 6 years dominated.... Toto: we would like competition.

ohh wait Max Verstappen is faster let's cheat or torpedo him in Silverstone and Hungarian and now Brazil

since Lauda passed away Merc lacks style. You keep crying about the Max Verstappen fans. Even if he won't become world champion, he has long proven that he is the best this season.

if you have to win like this cheating before the end of the season is pathetic but they will be helped again by the FIA just like LH had 26x advantage cutting corners in Bahrain

“So when you judge incidents, they judge the incident itself, the merits of the incident and not what happens after as a consequence, and that’s been something the stewards have done for many years and have been advised to do from the top down – and I’m talking team involvement and so forth. That’s the way the stewards judge it, because if you start taking consequences into it, there are so many variables rather than judging the incident itself.” -- Michael Masi after Silverstone incident.

Let's hope they apply the same logic now. If there was a technical infringement, they need to apply the correct penalties no matter how significantly it will influence the standings. If they don't this sport is a sham.

If they find a technical infraction, they should be banned from the sport until all members of the company from drivers to CEOs to factory custodians have all died of old ag....
o...k... I guess we can go a LITTLE easier on them. 5pm on the West Coast of the USofA. Still no word.

Curious about the rear wing flappy gate. and for Max; No touchy my parts please. (BUt did he actually made contact with the Mercedes wing? --> better clear evidence then that far distance video clip?) If so: also a penalty for Max. What is the penalty for touching other car during Parc Fermé?

And Lewis has to start from the back because his time will be deleted? And the mechanics have to change the rear wing or tweak the DRS flappy to be within the margins again?

What would be the worst individual outcome for both?

MV: grid place penalty (like 5 places)?
LH: Start from the pitlane?

Also, did Max enter the area after he already left it? or just went over to the Merc straight after exiting his car?

Voted Merc for the points, they just seem so fast. Thinking it'll be something like 1.MV 2.LH 3.VB 4.SP. But something more exciting with a AT/Fer/McL squeezing itself in between the lot would be nice.

Was always a LH fan, now a Max fan since he entered F1. For the races, just hope no penalties for either and a good couple of fights.

Now on to setting up my new CSL DD for AC to do some driving on this track. So far little to no FFB in both normal and CSW 2.5 (my previous base) compatibility mode with recommended settings. I guess I have some time get on top of that before any racing starts :)
