In this video we're going to play Wreckfest on a HTC Vive using Bigscreen Beta and Virtual Desktop. This will also work on an Oculus Rift or Windows Mixed Reality headsets. This is a setup guide and comparison video between both these applications running different in-game graphic settings. This is also a proof of concept video that playing flat screen games on a HMD is achievable and can work rather well! Everything was recorded through OBS and the OBS VR plugin directly from the HMD display feed. The HTC Vive was laid on a chair so we've got footage without any jerking head moment that would have made it impossible to see any in frame rate smoothness difference. 4:55 Bigscreen Beta - ULTRA 5:45 Bigscreen Beta - HIGH 6:43 Bigscreen Beta - MEDIUM 7:45 Bigscreen Beta - LOW 8:40 Bigscreen Beta - Split screen comparison 10:47 Virtual Desktop - ULTRA 11:51 Virtual Desktop - HIGH 12:54 Virtual Desktop - MEDIUM 13:58 Virtual Desktop - LOW 14:55 Virtual Desktop - Split screen comparison 15:57 Final thoughts Bigscreen Beta - https://store.steampowered.com/app/457550/Bigscreen_Beta/ Virtual Desktop - https://store.steampowered.com/app/382110/Virtual_Desktop/ SIM HARDWARE: SIM LAB GT1 cockpit Leo Bodnar SimSteering 2 Next Level Racing Motion V3 Heusinkveld Sim Pedals Pro Heusinkveld Handbrake Aiologs Seq shifter HTC Vive Derek Speare Designs P1 button box Fanatec Clubsport Formula rim (USB converted) Ascher button plate PC SPECS: i7 8770k GTX 1080ti 16 GB RAM
