RIP Petrol Race cars, 1960 - 2017

We are at the end of the petrol driven racecars era. There's a new sheriff in the town of Nurburg, Germany. Home to the famous Nurburgring and the Nordschleife....and even though I knew this would happen sooner or later, the fact still stuns me. The bane of petrol cars is a silent electric engined assassin named Nio EP9 with 1,341bhp that is new record holder with 6.45. When Stefan Bellof's 6.11 record is beaten by an electric car, the age of petrol racing will be passed on to Old timers Grand Prix completely. I hope you will enjoy this fossil fuel tribute!
