Assetto 991 the team behind the Dorsch 991 Cup Car ( Porsche 991 GT3 Cup Car ) released a new update for their payware mod a couple of weeks ago.

They added the V7 tyre model and some improved physics updates, but for some odd reason it still fails the setup check with default values as car sits to low at the front ! still two clicks later and its ready to race.

I have been trying it out at various tracks and found i enjoyed racing this car against the AI around version 1.13 of Donington Park the most.

I just did a quick 10 lap race this time and i placed my car in the middle of the pack and set the AI to 98% so i could make my way to the front.

I am really enjoying the latest version of Assetto Corsa ( 1.5.9 ) and the new V7 tyre model as the cars now feel alive out on the track and the way they work on this car is no different.

You find the car a handful for the first couple of laps as the tyres build up temp and then you can feel them fall away as the race progress's, it just feels right if you know what i mean.

For me this mod is well worth the few quid the modding team are asking and they have been providing updates as well each time Kunos updates the sim and they are still working on the GT4 version which will add value to the mod in my opinion.
