Assetto Corsa Competizione - The 'EPIC WIN' VR fix!

Jeremy Ford
One of our viewers, James Bebbington pointed me to an Assetto Corsa forum post on the official website to a quick fix to improve the visual quality for VR in Assetto Corsa Competizione. It works, it's awesome! Just the watch video to find out more! And thanks James for sending the link.

One quick note, the video doesn't do it justice of how much better ACC looks in VR after applying this change. Really, give a go it's worth trying.

    Thanks for posting this. I don't have an "Appdata" folder where it's in your given path, do you have any idea where i could find the engine.ini? Windows search gives me nothing, nor does a search about "WindowsNoEditor" find anything

    The Appdata folder is a hidden folder, so make sure you check the 'Hidden item' box in Windows. It's under the View menu in any open desktop window. In Windows 10.

    Hi,
    Just adding to my original post about these settings, that some lines leaves the ingame Video options locked.
    I haven't experimentet with all off them, but delete this one to get AA level option working:

    r.PostProcessAAQuality=4

    You can also delete this:

    vr.PixelDensity=1.4

    ..which is the same as Resolution Scale at 140%.

    There are more lines in there you can delete and control ingame instead, which makes it easier to configure a setup that fits your hardware.

    To sharpen the objects you can copy and paste the following:

    r.MipMapLODBias=-0.8
    r.Streaming.MipBias=-0.8

    You can play around with the numbers, but i admit not to go further then -1. With these settings i reduced tonemapper.sharpen to 2 and i get a good result.

    And to get rid of almost ghosting, you can copy and paste this:

    r.TemporalAACurrentFrameWeight=0.2
