I present to you my work in progress version of the "Flüela Pass", located in the canton of Graubünden, Switzerland. Made with DEM data from the suisse government, sporting an near lidar styled accuracy of the terrain data.. Adding to an immersive feeling of your surroundings!
Route: Davos to Susch and reversed
Length: Around 26km of up and downhill road
Layouts: Default and reverse
Location: Graubünden, Switzerland
* all images have been generated while using newest sol/pure with corresponding ppfilters
It is rather an early release and still a lot of details are missing. The current state of the project:
- Visual and physical layers are separated
- Terrain editing is finished
- Road is mostly finished and matches the actual real life road (as much as possible)
- Terrain and mountains are split up in pieces to achieve a reasonable performance
- Guard rails and the corresponding collision models
- General forest done without detail vegetation
- Houses and all other small details
- Detail vegetation
- Sounds (Ambient & Reverb-Rework)
- Rivers
- More side roads
- .... and all the other things I'm currently not remembering
This is a project I wanted to do for a long time now. Even if there are not too many frequent updates, I have no plans to abandon this anytime soon.
Hope you like it, if you have any problems or suggestions, just reach out to me in the discussions section.
I found that especially ppfilters do mess quite much with colors of the track (grass and trees seem to be the most affected by this). Would be eager to know which filters you used, maybe i then can pinpoint where i need to play with the color values (either on the texture or while exporting to kn5). Maybe give me a short heads up in the discussion section about what combination you are running, then i can analyze this further.
