Update now has a full set of 16 period inspired liveries including several of the teams Audi raced against in 1988 and 1989. These include the 1988 Mac Tools Merkurs, 1989 Strohs Cougars and a period Nissan livery. Installation instructions remain the same as before. This is the closest to a late 80's GTO race we'll be able to run until more GTO mods make it to AMS 2.
This pack contains 16 new liveries for the VRC Auriel 90. The standard VRC liveries are quite good but if you prefer a higher level of authenticity in your sponsor decals this pack is for you.
Liveries converted from Assetto Corsa Auriel 90 liveries with minor adjustments for AMS 2 and their original creators/contributors for those are listed below:
Audi Sport and Jagermeister - Mahad and Angel re re
Rothmans - Mahad and Itcars
I strongly recommend visiting and supporting the work of the original creators.
Previews for the Audi Sport 4 & 5 and Jagermeister liveries remain the same since they are easy to pick out. The others have new preview images. To my knowledge mods are not supported by Reiza's livery override process. If I learn differently I'll update the pack to take advantage.
Installation instructions:
1) Make sure you're comfortable navigating the AMS 2 file structure and have a backup copy of the Auriel 90 installation files
2) Disable bootfiles and the Auriel 90 mod using JSGME
3) Copy the files in the pack folders to the GUI and liveries folders in MODS/VRC Auriel 90GTO. eg:
\Steam\steamapps\common\Automobilista 2\MODS\VRC Auriel 90GTO V1.1\GUI
\Steam\steamapps\common\Automobilista 2\MODS\VRC Auriel 90GTO V1.1\Vehicles\Textures\liveries
Select yes when asked if you want to overwrite.
*Important, don't drag and drop the folders as you may accidently delete needed files. Copy the contents of the folders!
4) Enable the Auriel 90 then the bootfiles in JSGME
5) Start the game and have fun
N.B. These liveries will be over written whenever VRC distributes a new version of the mod. Simply repeat the install process above after installing the new version.
I may upload additional liveries for the Auriel 90 if there's enough interest. Enjoy!
