Hello there.
This is not an update. (yet)
This is a friendly reminder to respect my work and stop messing around with it, ripping it, converting it to other games, or even selling it as if it was yours.. (really ?!).

This message sadly goes to a small minority, but this minority is killing the game and ruining the motivation from me (and other modders), driving us away from the modding scene.
So please, if you see behaviors on discord groups, facebook, youtube and what not, remind them how childish and disrepectful they are, and how they are killing it for everyone.

For the rest of you, thank you for the kind messages and coffee money, and glad you enjoy the mod :)
Some sort of offroad/rally stage will come with 1.0, hopefully before 2024...

v0.9 - June 7, 2022
- couple more side roads (not very high polygons for the physical)
- added dirt in most houses and some walls
- dirt path test south of Ashton + dirt marks on top of the asphalt on road/gravel junctions
- few eggs to collect (should be at least #10, can't remember if i skipped numbers like i did for LAC...)
- improved collision mesh (merged mesh together)
- various fixes (holes in mesh, transparency etc.) - might still be some transparent windows to the great beyond..
- well and the new traffic layout, see actual AI line, so you won't see AI cars outside those roads : https://benobro.org/RD/Union_layout_traffic.jpg

what's next ?
probably in winter when time in front of a computer is more likely
- i'd like to make an offroad layout across the island, A to B thing
- maybe a reversed layout or two (and its cameras..)
- people and animals ?
- few more sounds
- complete the few empty areas

sorry, i forgot physical of a side road in Ashton in v0.8 !

Firstly, thank you to everyone who donated. Paypal doesn't let me reply to you, but please know i appreciate it greatly ! Funds mostly go back to Sol & CSP support.
And thanks to the great overall feedback, my 400hours didn't go to waste completely :p

fix in 0.81 :
  • (!!) physical mesh for side road in Ashton
  • (!!) physical mesh for Gas station
  • fixed gravel behaving like road
  • fixed toyota missing wheel in harbor
  • fixed flying light at the pier
  • fixed lod distance+light of main antenna
fix in 0.8
OPTIMIZATION :
  • reduced number of objects
  • put few objects in kslayer so you can change world detail if it helps your computer
  • optimized number of materials, textures & dds
  • optimized collisions for lot of objects (simpler mesh, and no collisions away from the road)
VISUALS :
  • new road marking
  • new road edge transition (took ages...)
  • improved terrain masking
  • improved csp grass & minor csp tweaks
  • reduced sea highlight
  • added a small truck
  • added a restaurant (made in Puerto Rico! Cheers orlandoEdits)
  • track cameras fixed
  • harbor road in Clifton slightly smoothed
KNOWN ISSUES :
  • AI still clumsy in some corners
  • might see some poping items, i reduced lod distance to improve performance, i'll fine tune it
  • sea normal missing : i got in touch with Ilja, a future CSP update will fix it
NOTES :
  • not compatible online with 0.7 : done on purpose, so everyone on a server has the new optimized version
  • no camera for freeroam, because no AI line, and how assetto corsa deals with camera, it's not possible otherwise
  • if the road is too bumpy, your suspensions are too stiff ;)
  • new layouts for later
  • more details, easter eggs etc. for later
  • don't hesitate to read the FAQ on the main page
