Differences to original Abarth 1000TC:
- Complete Standalone (G)TC-76 class with fat slicks.
- Complete new scratch build, Authentic physics.
- Highly tuned 850cc engine and 5 speed racing gearbox.
- real world selection of final gears.
- Uses (G)TC-76 spec tyres, so lots of grip to optimize driving line.
- 2 skins from period and one historic racing skin.
- Mod cars features extra class tags SIM_TC76 and SIM_ETCC1970 for those who want to build own single player championship.
Fiat 600 based Abarth 1000TC and TCR are very well known, but it's little sister 850TC was many times shadowed. However 850TC was years and years technically unbeatable in its class. During it's last active years in international racing, 850cc power unit delivered around 80hp. Almost a hp per cc. Though usually shadowed by 1000TC, Abarth kept developing 850TC alongside the bigger brother. Almost everything that ended up homologated to 1000TC Berlina, got its place also in 850TC. They even tested TCR head in 1970, but as the 1000cc class was about to be dropped from ETCC, it ment also end to the sub-classes under that displacement. Mot likely because of that, 850TCR never was manufactured in big scale, never went on production nor it got homologated. However, 850TC got the very wide arches and huge cooler of 1000TCR. (Though not that many cars used them and this mod features the intermediate arches and the 2nd incarnation of front cooler.)
This mod tries to simulate the 850TC when it was on top of its game in 1970 and It should compete nicely against 1970 Mini 850 and Suzuki LC10W TC76.
Conversion to other games:
- No conversion to other games without permission.
Modding information:
- Original Abarth 1000TC templates work nicely, as do the genstring options. Just remember use same .dds naming as the exisiting skins.
