RSS Formula 79: Mclaren M26 (1978) 1.0

Hunt and Tambay

This is my skin for the Mclaren M26 as used in 1978. I was unhappy with the current best Mclaren skin so I decided to make my own.

The car was driven by James Hunt and Patrick Tambay, scoring just one podium between them.

It was quite a challenge to recreate the famous dayglo colour used on the 70s Mclarens, however I feel I have a nice balance here.

You do not need either of these to use this mod.

DISCLAIMER: Please please please do not take things to use in your own work without asking. I am happy to help people to do certain things if they ask or use some of my assets but I really do not like when people take things and do not tell me! I do not permit the redistribution of this skin on other sites.

I am also, with this skin, starting a short break from skinning. I don't want to burn myself out on it, and it's not quite as enjoyable as it first was, so It's time to stop spamming out liveries :) break could last anywhere from a day to a week or two.

Bravo chap, stunning work. You've seen my unreleased versions in our convo and they are heading straight to the recycle bin. 10 stars if I could.

I would like to understand the link between RSS Formula79 and the livery of 78 or 93 as they see around, only one car with physics not equal to the vintage of 78/93, does anyone explain to me?
