The RFPE Mod reflects our passion for the Motorsport and Sim Racing worlds. Based on our Sim Racing but also real life Motorsport experience (Karting, Rallying and Circuit Racing) we own the basic needed knowledge to understand how the physics, aerodynamic, tyre model and suspensions of a vehicle works. Our goal, improve the driving experience.

DEVELOPMENT STATUS

27/09/16: After the 0.2 version release, our idea and main goal is to keep working in compatibilize new car groups.

01/10/16: We guess that after a Steam client update, the 0.2 version of the RFPE plugin stopped working. You will feel improvements only on damage, FFB and sounds side. Soon, more information.

15/10/16: A new update which brings again all the mod original features to the tittle.

20/10/16: A new showcase video (Not download) of the next 0.3 version was added to the thread and also to the video section.

24/10/16: A new version which include 1980's (RWD) vehicles was released! The core files of the project were updated with more realistic data.

09/11/16: The development of the project its already cancelled.

Very good mod, it's so funny to play.
Just a report: on ice/snow surfaces, I found a bug. In some zone of different stages(Monte Carlo) there is someting like "invisible object" that hit the car, cousing crashes or dangerous slides. Any fix?

I am rating only new physics, because I only used this modification. It´s amazing, finally I don´t need to wory all time if I will crash and cars are now more predictable like in real life. But one star down only for saving, I know it is because of racenet know that this is modded file in game directory, but I tried to find some file that DISABLE racenet, like xlive.dll was for Games for Windows Live in GTA IV on PC. For me, Dirt Rally have for me a lot bigger potential than before, but we Dirt players need someone who can disable racenet files scan, so we can play our carrer mode with this physics peacefully. Thank you
I want to preface this by acknowledging the mod authors hard work and hours into making this. I appreciate his/her hard work.

Now, This mod is good in a lot of areas but lack real realism in other areas. To make sure i wasnt blowing smoke, i studied real world rally situations. That doesnt mean I am an expert, but rather basing what i say on what i saw.

Tires should not be bent to hell from a 20mph impact on a bush.
i understand the games engine counts bushes as tress, however when i so much as touch the outside of a track or bush the tires suddenly go from 100% to 70%.

Also I seem to be blowing up my engine waaay more than reasonable. Particularly Hill Cimbs wherein thats that wholw point of the event. I know for a fact Audi's dont blow up, boil over, or quit on Pikes, yet there i am with a bad engine half way through.

Such a great mod, but I don't understand why the development stopped. Even you could have the best rally sim ever (because of good graphics and sound, not ONLY physics like RBR). My main problem with it is that the Finland is unplayable, because when you land from jumps, the cars do crazy things. Or is this actually realistic, that I should go slower? There's also the Alternate ctf for RFPE, do you think the guy did it right?
Game does not save using this mod..any suggestions?

Is it only possible to get a VAC-ban if i play multiplayer or do i have to disable online in the game?

Only if you access to the multiplayer option/mode. Anyway, if you feel more comfortable you can switch your steam client to offline mode. Thanks.
There is lot of improvments ... like this mod but is that any posibility to play offline career and save career progress ?

Thank you! DiRT 4 file structure and encrypted memory data doesn't allow us to progress deeper at the code (At the moment). About save data, you're right. When modified files are introduced into the tittle directory, the system disables this feature. Thanks again.

Only thing I dislike about this is the jumping physics. When the car's landing, it's a weird feeling if the car was about to fly up in a moment. I even sometimes get weird damage. Annyoingly weird.
Besides that, I find it perfect, FFB is much more natural and I can actually feel what's car going to do.
