Rfactor mod F1 1986 HE 2.5

This mod is easily one of the best rfactor vehicle mods I have ever downloaded...and probably THE BEST Formula 1 mod I have downloaded.

The vehicles look super super realistic (high graphic quality) and accurate for the time period -exterior and interior. The cockpit view shows the drivers arms AND LEGS, an extreme rarity in rfactor vehicles. That's attention to detail.
The cockpit interior (gauges, etc.) seem fairly spartan/austere...perhaps this is accurate for the mid 80s.
Also, whether accurate and realistic or not, the rear view mirrors are so small as to be pretty much useless.

The seating position/cockpit view also seems superb and better than any other rfactor Formula 1 mod I have so far tried.

I am assuming that the acceleration, engine noise, top speeds, etc. are also all very accurate. The driving physics seem superb, these cars are super-fun to drive...and seems ultra ultra-realistic perhaps to a 'fault':
Using the keyboard (I've never owned an analog steering wheel) and with traction control set to "maximum," these F1 cars are 'slightly' too difficult to drive around a race track without spinning out and oversteering too many times to race competitively. Driving these cars really really tests your driving skills, even for an adept driver like me...driving these cars on the keyboard is not quite 'do-able'. Were it not for this, this 1986 Formula 1 mod would have been absolutely perfect in every conceivable way...
I agree, excellent mod. A bit sliding too much...

thank you ! answered on the other review
Hi markosamo!..love the mod graphically very well done!..just a few issues!..grip needs to be corrected as the cars slide around to much!
shadows under cars need to be darker!..wheels need to be taken in more as the cars look to wide!..cheers thanks for your hard work!

hello, thank you. Grip must be good with qualifying tyres, and the engines are powerful, so with other tyres, a bit of set up is needed (not always max. rpm, tyre pressure, brakes,...)
