Physics mod for a more competitive feeling to the game.

Braking: It's more realistic to braking with this mod. Trail braking is the key for a good race riding, but Milestone makes it too easy: you can pull the brake lever at maximum at lower inclinations without much punishment. This changed with this mod. Now you must be smooth with the brakes to avoid falling.

Instability: Added more instability to the bike at speeds. So with more power and more faster, more instability while leaning, braking and accelerating.

Kerbs: Be careful when using kerbs along the track. Now they have a different grip, so when you're up (like for exemple in a corner exit) it's OK, but never use the inner kerbs at full leaning...


How to install:
1. Replace the existing data.mix in the game's folder by the one in this mod (remember to backup the original file first);

2. To mix with other mods: Use the separated files inside de DATA folder, i assume that you already know how to unpack/pack mix files;

This mod only works in offline modes! Changes at data.mix invalidate the game for online gameplays.

This mod was made with a XBOX 360 joypad and for joypads. It's not intended to be accurate with a keyboard. Be warned.

Version 2.8 is very, very good Dyego. It has more of a "knife-edge" feel to it but with plenty of "feel" and feedback from the bike(s) ..which is just what I hanker after & enjoy. Congratulations! Brilliant work. :) Milestone need to take serious note of what yourself and Giovaneveterano are achieving with their physics engine. It puts their work to shame..

I never had enough time to test it deeply, so I did only just in the last week and.. man! It's awesome! The way you understand and feel the bike through the controller it's just insane and the fast time just came when you put a clean lap togheter.
Well done Dyego, I understand how hard is to do a mod like this and I appreciate your effort, the results are UNBELIEVABLE!
(I just complain about the poor traction in motogp bikes, but it's just matter of personal taste).

Thank you so much! Coming from the one who introduced me to the "mod world" it means a lot to me! And I already played yours but couldn't manage to stop myself to play your mod more deeply, I'm sry! But I'll do it as soon as I can! :))
I prefer it to the standard physics for fun, but this obviously would not be marketable to your average player, its very difficult to go fast, you need to really focus and try hard to go fast, no matter how fast I go though, i cant get off the back of the grid in qualifying, there is simply not any extra time to be gained. On track i am going faster than the AI, but they still qualify ahead of me! I claw up to maybe 5th in the (3lap) race, wondering why the AI have such fast lap times in qually? Like their race times are maybe 2 seconds slower than their qualifying times!

If you see a real race, is exactly like you said: QP times are way better than RACE, but in race you must mind the tire wear and is this what make the race be "slower". Isn't impossible to have a good qualifying time (see the video i've putted 1:47.0 in Mugello, 5th place) so you must try harder. Don't try to follow the AI in QP/FP to gain a good time, they're running in RACE pace. IN this game the FP/QP times are randomly generated after a while based on a table of times, so it's not my fault.
this mod is fantastic but in the qualifications the AI time is 00.00.000 and i do every time the pole position because in the leardborad i'm the only rider that have a time. (sorry for my english and thank you)

P.S. I tried it only for moto2 and not for motoGP and moto3

Very very good indeed, adds so much excitement to the game. I finished motorbike riding 30 years ago, so cannot say much about realism, but for sure this mod makes the best riding game, MotoGP 17, even better and more challenging. Thank you for your good work for the community :)

i piloti entrano in curva con il freno anteriore ancora un po tirato per schiacciare la gomma a terra e avere più grip. fino a centro curva, finchè non iniziano ad aprire il gas, hanno il freno in mano.

your mod is superb. but i use keyboard, the accel is to quick, cut you fix this for keyboard user.

Thanks for the rate. Unfortunately you need a joypad at least... You can't use 15% of braking or of accel in a corner with a keyboard... So you'll never be fast in this mod :/
As near to perfect as is sanely possible..! Forget Milestone. Go "Dyego" instead!! ;) Great physics & AI mod.

I love the movement of the bike in braking, it is very realistic, on the other hand I find a bit damage that every time one touches the brakes in the corners, one falls. But your mods are top

You can't use the brakes inside the curves... you'll fall for sure! The max you can do is trail braking until the apex. Try to use the rear brakes if you miss the braking point. ;)

Please, have a look at the support session. The data.mix is packed in the update 2, i was not able to repack with the new update available... You must to unpack nd repack using the folder in the mod and disregard the files in DB folder.

Sure i'll fix that! I'm taking more time to release the new version because i want to release some 1.0 version... so now i'm polishing the bike physics and the AI behavior... So stay tunned ;)
Hi. I gave only three stars due to 2 things You should correct to make Your mod better. First of all the way of braking is too short in my opinion. Take a look on another physics mod on this forum (Fine tuning mod) in which we have to brake very early like in real MotoGP. Secondly, (maybe I am a poor rider ;P ) playing on simulation level the computer riders are too strong. For example their race pace in Brno is about 1.49.xxx while in real life track record is 1.56.027. Please fix it. The rest of mod is ok. I do like fighting with bike and being very smooth and gently while i accelerate and brake. I appreciate Your work.

Thanks for your feedback, but i think you misunderstood my mod. It is not meant to be "realistic", it's to be a "real challenge". So it's true that you not have realistic lap times or realistic braking points, but it's pointless (in my opinion) try to bring this to this game, mainly because there are no grip diferences between the tracks and they haven't the accurate measures with the real tracks. So i'm trying in fact to bring at least a realistic sensation, but not to deliver a simulation of real life.
About the AI, the work in progress now it's to balance their lines to the player's new physics and make them more "easy" and polite on race in simulation level to be able to the player use the tyre wear, the way it is now you can race only without it or you'll never have rubber enough to the end.
