Thanks :) Enjoy!
This is a must for everyone having a G27 / G29, really appreciate the hard effort the community is putting to do these. Thanks Rasmus.

Thanks for this review! Always makes my day. I really did it for my own but it's so great to see that it's working for lots of other people :)
Just got a G29 because COVID is keeping me inside, initially the settings were awful and made me consider returning the wheel but thanks to your LUT files I love this game and the wheel. Cheers and thanks for putting so much work into this.

Glad that you can enjoy your time inside in these weird times! Thanks for the kind words :)

I've just moved up to a T300, BUT i want to say to anyone with a G25/7 that these LUT files are a must! If my G25 hadn't started to die i would still be using it! It felt great in AC with Rasmus' settings!

RasmusP
Thanks for taking the time to write this! Always makes my day to read such positive words! Enjoy your T300, no rattling or clonking anymore :)
I am new to sim racing so I might not be using the correct terminology (I used the recommended LUT and applied it properly) in general, it feels really good on my G29, however, when I am accelerating down straights, the FFB kicks in quite aggressively. Is this normal? Also, when I brake sharply, the FFB really kicks in and it can be distracting and very noisy. Am I doing something wrong?
RasmusP
RasmusP
Thanks for the review :) I think what you feel are the SLIP and ABS effects. I like them at about 23% but they are definitely rattling a lot. Every time you get wheelspin or lock up or the abs becomes active, your wheel will rattle. It's not ffb from the physics, it's just an effect so you know what's going on with the car. Simply lower the slip and abs sliders and see if it's better.
If not, post in the support thread and I'll help you :)
Excellent! Also confirm the phenomenon of the G920.

RasmusP
Thank you for the review and the confirmation! :)
Thank you very much for this. I has helped a lot!
RasmusP
RasmusP
Thanks for leaving a few words :) Still makes my day every time!
Did you find any method to get rid of the bump in the middle without lowering de ffb too much? Is just the only thing not really good
RasmusP
RasmusP
Hi again :) Sadly I can't find a way. I don't have this bump with my g27 with the recommended LUT and no friends have a g29.
Btw is your sensitivity at 50%? I wonder why no other g29 users complain about it. Either they don't have this bump or they aren't as picky as me and you hehe. I totally hate any bumps so I know what you're complaining about man! I just don't know any solution :(
I can suddenly drive! Instead of guessing what the grip situation of my car is, I can now actually feel it. It's the difference between getting frustrated and having fun (this guide + LUT gives you the latter obviously). I used a Wheelcheck generated LUT before, but this still makes a big difference. I used a G27 with the recommended settings and LUT, I might try out the others later. Thanks a lot for your effort!

Amazing review, thanks a lot!
The wheelcheck generated LUTs change a lot in the ffb linearity. My LUTs are really just a simple, curved "minimum force" setting. Of course it took weeks to get the curve to be what I wanted to feel but I didn't change the ffb at all. No magic, just a smoother min force and that's it.
Wish developers would implement a curve-tool for minimum forced so stuff like my LUTs wouldn't be necessary :)
Really thank for this !! 6 STARS !!
Its unbelivable how your work can complete change the game for the entry level wheels owners like me and my DFGT!

I just want to share what I found after try all yours LUT for months. First I must say that since I live in Trento I do all my test on the hillclimb, that i know really really well, and we usually drift on that street when it's snowing ;)

So what I found.. I use a DFGT anyway the LUT that I like more is the G25/27/29no clip but stronger raccomended one (with in game50%) , but i notice that I set my in car ffb from 60% to 90% in almost all cars, that's a little bit lower that what you suggest (maybe cause a use a g27lut or maybe cause i like hillclimb feeling and a light wheel in my hands).

Second point: its sick how you have one perfect number of ffb for every single car. For example 1% to much and you dont feel undeersteer in time 1% less and you dont feel which of the wheels is locking.
It s a big work to set all the cars and when i was doing that it feels like every single car like most odd or even number for the ffb. For exemple a car: Audi Quattro S1..i found that 86% in the car is the "right number" but anyway i feel it better with 84% and 88% than 85% and 87% where i find something unsteable in the ffb.. What do you think about this?Coul be or its just my impression?

Anyway thank again for you work man..expecially in this quarantine it save my life ;)

Haha I can feel the positive energy in your words man, awesome! Thank your for writing this! :)
It makes total sense to use the "recommend" lut with the dfgt when using lower gain!
My LUTs are really just "anti dead zone curves" that go back to default ffb right after filling the dead zone! The dfgt has a smaller dead zone but if you use less gain, you need a stronger curve to fill the dead zone properly.
It also makes sense that every car needs a different gain setting! Every car has a different shape of ffb but there's only one single correct gain value that perfectly fills the dead zone. When you hit that value, it feels best.
That's why I always tell people not to care about clipping, the ffbclip app or anything. Just play around with the per-car-gain while driving until it feels spot on :)
Wow, this is really great! I can now feel the wheels sliding and take action. Helps my abysmal driving skills! :)
Thank you!!
RasmusP
RasmusP
Hehe, glad it helps :) thanks for the kind words!
Outstanding work here, threw my own LUT into the trash. Really had to turn the in car FFB down with the new URD Bayo, but damn what a car now!
RasmusP
RasmusP
Great that you like it! Enjoy the new car! :D
After couple of months using AC with your guide, I've got to say thank you! :) Top notch on most things, except I didn't use the LUT. I used your GAMMA settings instead as it worked better for me and it's awesome: http://www.racedepartment.com/threads/guide-for-g27-and-other-wheels-configuration.134490/
RasmusP
RasmusP
Thanks for making me smile today! :)
I thought about deleting the guide thread as I think the settings are not as smooth and nicely shaped but I thought some people probably like it anyway as the LUTs are a bit lighter and rather "fluffy" in comparison.
Glad that you're having fun with it and I could help :)
really liked the strong settings :) thanks.
RasmusP
RasmusP
The strong one? I think no one mentioned that to me yet.
Glad you like it! Happy driving :)
this is simply AWESOME! i use the recommended one but with 80% ingame ffb, a complete game changer!!! looks a got myself a new wheel!
RasmusP
RasmusP
Hehe, thanks for calling it AWESOME (there's a German poetry slam video where AWESOME is the most used word, lol).
80% seems a bit much but as long as it feels good for you, I'm happy that you're having fun :)
This made AC like being a complete new game, got the game for years and just recently explored this "mod". Amazing 10/5 ;)
RasmusP
RasmusP
Thanks for the 10/5 rating :D Happy to see that even after years of getting used to something else, my little lut make for a positive change :)
The improvement is insane
RasmusP
RasmusP
Thanks! :) it's astonishing how much difference a little change around the center can do. And it's sad how little the devs care for it. Every game could easily implement such a feature and get a preset for all logitech wheels...
Hi thanks for your hard work, however im not getting any ffb with the logitechG27. Can you help me out?
RasmusP
RasmusP
Hi, thanks for still giving me these stars :)
You seem to have the same problem as Kozzion (rating below yourself). Please write in the support area of this download so we can solve it :)
Hello, thank you for your hard work! I am a complete noob in the simracing scene and am using a logitech G27.
I did all the instructions you wrote and everything runs smooth!
What I do "miss" is that my steer does not give any Force feedback? it doesnt shake while hitting kerbs or feels any resistance when I steer into corners and such?
Is this as intended ? Or did I do something wrong ?
RasmusP
RasmusP
First, thanks for still giving me 5 stars although you don't have any force feedback. :)
Second: please let's solve this problem in the support area where we can talk better. I'll make a post :)
Excellent application FOR MY G27 !!!but why put 900 degrees? I usually drive cars that have a 360 degree angle of rotation how should I do? Ah you a setting for that because I want a stop?
RasmusP
RasmusP
Hi, thanks for the stars :)
Assetto corsa uses the correct degrees for each car, as long as the logitech panel and the ingame degrees are the same. So what you are using is hardware lock, what you'd need would be to activate the "softlock".
But the ac softlock is pretty bad sadly...
For some reason though, the force feedback gets amplified when using less rotation. So going from 900 to 450 will boost (and clip) the force feedback.
I would recommend that yoh just use this LUT like you do now and if the wheel shakes on straights, simply use numpad minus until the ffb is low enough to not shake anymore :)
Or you use 900 and activate the softlock.
Either in content manager or:
\Steam\steamapps\common\assettocorsa\system\cfg\assetto_corsa.ini
Then at the bottom- [SOFT_LOCK] ENABLED=1
