Install: make a folder in "..\content\cars\" and name it "porsche_911_gt2_rs". Copy in that folder all from "..\content\cars\ks_porsche_911_gt3_rs\" except "skins" folder. Then place all from this package and overwrite "..\content\cars\porsche_911_gt2_rs\data.acd" and "ui" folder. Use "Replace sound" feature of Content Manager and select "Porsche 911 Turbo S" as source (or any other that you like better). If you skip the sound replace step the car won't load.
"The Porsche engineers engaged in genealogical research to find the right sound for the vehicle – at Porsche, of course. The prototype for this was the Porsche 935, whose unique sound was created by its shortened tailpipes." - So maybe if you don't mind the squeaky brakes, the sound from "Moby Dick" will fit best.
This car gave me a chance to put in practice the principle of using CSP for swapping meshes in the car without butchering the model itself and to use that for more skin variety. You will notice that here the rims and tires are changing from skin to skin and the steering wheel rim is splitted to have the leather upper part and the alcantara lower like on the proper GT2 RS.
If you like to make some "mixing and matching" of your own to join your favourite color with the wheels that you like most you have to delve into the contents of the "ext_config.ini" that is in each skin scheme. For example
is the red car with Weissach wheels.
If you want to have it with the default aluminium rims - remove the whole "[MODEL_REPLACEMENT_1]" paragraph.
If you want to have it with the rims of the white - replace the "[MODEL_REPLACEMENT_1]" paragraph with the one from the white skin. And so on...
Code:
[MODEL_REPLACEMENT_0]
FILE=porsche_911_gt3_rs.kn5
HIDE=STEER_HR
INSERT=../../extension/steerw.kn5
INSERT_AFTER=GEO_Glass_Dials
[MODEL_REPLACEMENT_1]
FILE=porsche_911_gt3_rs.kn5
HIDE=WHEEL_LF,WHEEL_LR,WHEEL_RF,WHEEL_RR,SUSP_LF,SUSP_LR,SUSP_RF,SUSP_RR
INSERT=../../extension/weissach.kn5
INSERT_AFTER=GEO_Glass_Dials

PS. Take a look into "Discussion", you may find something more in the posts down from that.
Happy driving!
