v1.2 is glorious! I love the Porsche 993 Carrera 2, I just wish there were slightly further expanded tuning options resembling what a mild tuning for track days with an otherwise stock car could be, such as a single stiffer spring rate, adjustable 2-way dampers (in a reasonable range for sport dampers), a slightly wider range for camber, especially at the rear where people who run fairly stock cars on the track run quite aggressive cambers with these cars. As it is now it is an amazing stock car but does not allow for much room of getting it a little "sharper".
Standout for me (next to the usual super high quality modelling) is the sound - it sounds sooooo good!
The physics feel very believable and overall great although I am not sold on the behavior of the 90's stock tires - many, many more dentists and lawyers would have died in the 90's if Porsche NA would have shipped these cars with such tires to the US ;-) I am not sure if this is a limitation of how AC tires behave but the car (especially on stock tires at ambient temperature) is DEADLY, even for a die hard Porsche 911 fanatic.
On Semi slick tires with a sharper setup (what little the setup menu currently allows) the car feels AMAZING around tracks where one could find these cars on dedicated track days today - around Spa or the Nurburgring or Zolder this car is a pure joy to drive and race close with other cars around it. I love this car and truly hope to see more Porsche 993 variants next - how about a 993 Cup Porsche which would give us all some amazing club races ;-)
