The old ones look like synthetic grass and, on a lot of locations when you drive on the suzuka track, you cannot distinguish if it's the border or the actual grass.
Now, border are more detach from the grass and are accurate to the actual ones in GT series (Intercontinental, Blanc pain Asia etc).

I think it's a really, really good idea, I will try to make a 70's skin for Brand Hatch, if I do, I will try to be the more accurate possible :)
