Thanks Tenseiga, glad you're going Full Send!!!
Can almost smell the virtual tyre smoke from here :D
I've driven here in real life many times and often drive to Newcomb's Ranch. The realism level is very high. This is my favorite mod for AC!
Phoenix77
Phoenix77
Awesome Rand, great that you've driven these great roads in real life, and that you can confirm the realism is very high.
Hope you have some online server meets at Newcombs, and then race or cruise the 25 miles to La Cañada :)
Cheers!
can the creator make a road to the city in the background?
Phoenix77
Phoenix77
Thanks for the rating, unfortunately not... I've already pushed the AC Engines physics range limit enough as it is.
I would have loved to be able to go that far, but unless the AC engine runs as purely 64bit at it's core. It will never happen.
In LA Canyons anyway!

I do like your thinking though :)
amazing mod with the VIP extra ! He has changed the game
Phoenix77
Phoenix77
Thanks Sticky, glad you think LA Canyons has changed the game :)
Although it's not just me that has achieved this, huge credit goes to the awesome Ben O' Bro, and everyone else that has helped along the way!

I'd recommend downloading all of Bens awesome cars... Including his Porsche Singer!
Your Assetto Corsa install will thank you ;)

Have fun ;)
Map was so good I tried reaching for my turn signal when pulling up to a light. easily worth paying for the VIP version, it's a LOT of content (take notes, iracing!)

Does anyone know how to change the startpoints? I would prefer not starting at the top of a mountain on the freeroam VIP version
Phoenix77
Phoenix77
Thanks, love it that you went to use your turn signals lol :) And thanks for the support.

There is an Information_***.txt in every layout folder... With information on Pit Box locations.
Use this with the map.png to choose a layout depending on where you want to start (Pit 0 is where you start in Practice)
i give you 5 stars the same. maybe it's my problem. I downloaded the map I put it in the track folder, but it doesn't appear in the track menu, it doesn't exist!
Phoenix77
Phoenix77
Thanks, any issues... Check you have an "la_canyons" folder inside your assettocorsa\content\tracks folder.
Follow step by step the Install Guide.PDF... any continuing issues, post a detail report in the Discussion Thread (at the top of this page)

Also refer to the Layout Guide.PDF to make sure which layouts have a raceable AI line / cameras / etc
Very great track!

Phoenix77
Thanks glad you're enjoying the Canyons!
I missed driving these canyons after leaving Southern California 20 years ago. Thank you!
Phoenix77
Phoenix77
Awesome mate, glad to bringing you back there, have fun driving the canyons the way you probably always wanted to!
Drive safe!
It feels like the perfect drive.

Keep up the good work :)
Phoenix77
Phoenix77
Thanks Ivan, I already have an update for Pacific Coast on the horizon... 2020 permitting!
By far the best driving roam road - test driving same cars Matt Farah does
Keep the great work up
Phoenix77
Phoenix77
Thanks glad you're enjoying driving the same roads as Matt... Pretty epic that he loves LA Canyons as well.
Never know, maybe one day you'll get to drive against Matt in an online server... Never know, maybe you already have ;) lol
Nice to drive some "normal" slow consumer car to unwind after intense ACC race...
Phoenix77
Phoenix77
Thanks Matt, glad you're using LA Canyons to unwind on... Something I didn't imagine during the planning stage of this mod :)
Premium
Absolutely love it! Street cars, race cars, hypercars, classic cars, everything is fun on these fantastic roads.

Try canyon carving with the ktm x-bow - just sublime! (Oh, and buy the full version, you deserve it and the modders deserve it!)
Phoenix77
Phoenix77
Thanks mate, Matt Farah certainly knows some awesome roads, to test out the cars he reviews on 'The Smoking Tire'
And thanks for the support, drive safe!
Somewhat new to Sim Racing but have been messing around with Assetto Corse for about a year. This has to be the most fun track I've found. So much to see and the roads are great to drive, cant wait to get the all acess but need to find another way to pay not a big fan of PayPal
Phoenix77
Phoenix77
Thanks mate, glad you're having lots of fun in the Canyons... Unfortunately with the store platform I went with there are limited to no other options. Still a lot of people online cruise/race around the Main loop, so you can find plenty of skilled drivers online to give you a challenge if you want one! :) Have fun!
Love it thanks!
Phoenix77
Phoenix77
Thanks Kamz.. Have fun, Drive safe!
Beautiful, I used to carve these canyons on my bike.
Phoenix77
Phoenix77
Thanks Isaac, awesome that you've carved these canyons in real life, I hope you're enjoying doing it without consequence in a sim. Drive/Ride safe dude!
Great track with lots of details. Got the paid VIP version as well. I really don't understand the 1 star review from people who lack the ability to follow step by step instructions. That rating should be applied to the reviewer's own ability to follow directions.
Phoenix77
Phoenix77
Thanks a lot for the support, well these people don't get the years of work involved by myself, Ben and everyone else that made this possible. I believe in what goes around comes around, so they'll learn... Hopefully for their sake!
thanks for the great track
Phoenix77
Phoenix77
Thanks Alex, hope you're having loads of fun :)
This is amazing.

I do a lot of sim racing in ACC. It's a lot of fun and all but you know, with setting up the car, focusing on the race and your opponents for half an hour or so, it can be taxing on the mind from time to time.

But when I need to do some chill driving, I boot up AC, hop in a MX-5 or a E92 M3 (something along those lines), put some music at the background and go for a drive in VR.

It's so relaxing to cruise around on these roads, it's exactly what I needed. No lap times. No setups to worry about. It's just the perfect place to unwind. Overall, great job Phoenix77.

One quick question though, I noticed that some of the roads are blocked. I know that if I purchase the VIP pack, they'll be unlocked but would I be able to drive around on those roads if I join a server which is running the "Main" pack or do I have to find a server running the VIP freeroam track?
Phoenix77
Phoenix77
Thanks turtal for the detailed review, that's a great way to use the Canyons!

The Main & VIP work together online perfectly... So you can find a Freeroam or Mount Lawlor Tourist server (the most common 70+ servers usually use) and drive anywhere... Just those without the VIP won't be able to follow you if you drive along a VIP road.
great track, love it
Phoenix77
Phoenix77
Cheers Tebz, Drive safe!
Excellent road! I love chilling and driving around in a Subaru, Miata, Stradale 33 and many more cars.
Phoenix77
Phoenix77
Awesome thanks, glad you're enjoying chilling on these great Californian roads :)
