Jops 2018 - Remembering Nick Milton V 1.0.2

No permission to download
Hi , just a small update regarding the far ground rendition , after I discovered it was not anymore well rendered.

It is probably due to the recent (great) additions from Sol 1.1.1, shader patch etc.…

All should be okay now, for those who like the track !

Thanks for your support by downloading and racing this track .
Jops V 1.0.1 / small addition to V 1.0
- strictly identical to V 1.0, except better looking Marshalls, Thanks to "Please stop this"
(see support page for details)

Jops V 1.0 final
- The track is now finished. Of course it is a never ending process and there should be more to do, but intended the initial goal and the fact that the original track has been made for GPL for about 12 years, I have decided to release it at this stage as V 1.0.
- Many object position corrected
- Collisions correction
-Tree lightning and shaders correction. It is now a lot better as previous version, even if not "professional".
The track is usable at all time of the day and all weather. Some are of course better than others.
- Camera should be improved (some more !).
- Some bumpy location should be improved.
For the rest, this job has been done on spare time in hommage to my friend Jops and Nick Milton.
Please have a think for both of them everytime.
Thanks you very much for downloading the track. I know that you are doing that in their memory probably more than just the only quality of my own job. I have a lot of respect for that.

You should have fun racing this track with all type of cars (except maybe modern F1 or similar), and of course F1 1967 or all vintage cars. I personally found a lot of the fun I had with GPL 12 years ago.

Jops V.0.9.8
- Collision with objects ; beware of the trees !
In order to have a nice race experience ,which is the goal after all, I decided to let some trees "transparent".
- Big Work (at least working hours !) on the Shaders (Type, parameters). I hope you will like the track as it is now. I worked on trees, road, objects, light intensity, ...It should be a better compromise now.
It is a very difficult task, because I dont really have knowledge on what each parameter really do, and how the editors are working.
Take it as my effort to improve a 10 years old Rfactor track. I will try to improve it further, but I reach a point where i have to do some compromise without rebuilding the track/objects totally (which has never been my goal), and where I have reached my own modding limits !
A further improvement could be to play with the initial sun position and/or rotation ob object, but i could not find how to do that until know.
This is why the track is V 0.9.8 !
I have tested the track at various weather and time. I recommand a time beetween 11:am and about 15:30 in game (Content manager 14:00 is 15:00 in game on my PC !). The later the most shadows on the track, but some trees will become "flashy".
As reference for the shader work, I have tested the track with GBWsuite reshade and other weather/filters (natural mod).
I personally like it with some mid cloud weather. It may look to shinny with total clear weather.
It's up to you, just because every PC is different

The track as it is should offer a nice racing experience with different type of cars.
My personal goal as been achieved now.
I wish I could further improve some aspects (AI, graphics), but there is not much to expect anymore .

Thanks for all your kind comments.
I appreciate them a lot.

Assetto Corsa
Jops V.0.5 ; initial release
Jops V.0.7 :
- New preview and outline maps from Jody Parks
- Camera set from Jody Parks
- Bug with curbs left/right side of the track fixed
Jops V.0.9 :
- New AI and camera set from Jody Parks . Many thanks to him for his precious contribution
The AI can now be considered as functional. It is possible to race with an entire field of 24 GTcars (or other cars), without having to deal
with massive crash at some point of the track. Together with a nice set of camera, it makes the track to V0.9 to me.
- added Startposition for Hotlap
- Optimization of object (definition, typ)
- Asphalt
- Work on Shaders (definition, typ, parameter, transparency, ...) => work in Progress, early stage. I have a lot to learn about that !!

Jops V0.91
- Bug Pit speed limit fixed.
- Asphalt pits. It should be better looking now.
- Collision with objects (rocks, wall, buildings, tree, ...) ; Work in Progress
- Modification of the behind scenery. Attempt to reduce the mountain size, which look in my opinion way to big in comparison with the original GPL track.

- better looking asphalt which react better to sun effect

If you don't like the aspect of the "WIP" track, you can of course just take benefit of the new AI/cameras by just replacing all the files into the data folder of the current version of the track with the new one.

Many thanks to all the contributors for their comments and ressources helping me to improve the track.

The Driving is now a lot better on the curbs, and the replay camera works properly.
Unfortunately, The AI are Always "flying" after the straight into the small forest.
I have to learn them to break :D
