Gotta say I love the PP Filters! Look amazing, but I can never get them to look like the screen shots :/ Definitely more visually pleasing than the gbw suite 2.5.2 even with ReShade!

Well my "always" use Graphics settings for performance - quality are in the Post. But if you want a better quality put Reflection on 256x256 -> one face per frame / PostProcess: Overall + DoF maximum / Glare Medium or High / Motion Blur 2-3 or 9 / Shadow Resolution 1024 as minimum for good quality and gbw_suite weather mod, That's all i use ( of course i use free camera for screenshots)
Looks great until you look directly into the sun. Then the screen gets set on fire and you can't see anything. I'm on a calibrated high end NEC monitor meant for photo editing.

Yes, i already post the fix in the description, anyway i'll upload a new version of the "vivid" filter that i'm working on right now, it looks better and have this already Fixed on it, so the next update will fix your isue with the sunlight and will make the overall image sharper, specially for headlights and brake lights or sun reflection on the car. Thanks for the review :)
Niente, update, dopo update, credo che questo, sarà il miglior PPF, per AC una volta definitivo! continua così matt! grazie per il tuo impegno!

Grazie Hillclimber, spero che ti piaccia :) Thanks for the review!
Thanks for share it bro, but this reminds me of old codemasters games, like Grid :P. I really prefer GBW or TLM to get the real thing. Thanks anyway.

Is ok, but why you're talking about Weather mods? this is a filter mod, not a weather mod, and just my opinion now, Codemasters games from 2018 have some great graphics in terms of PostProcess filter, even being Arcade games. Thanks for the review but you'll help me saying what i can improve.
the sunlight will be too strong for some specific condition, like 16PM, Clear. Then at some scenes the whole screen will be blank. Please try to fix it :)

Ok, i'll take that i count, i have to add that recently i modify my settings to max (for test) and changing Glare + Overall Effects to Maximum makes the screen to bright and blind looking at the sun, Overall Effects on medium and Glare on High is how i setup the light on my PC, for now if you want to use the filters without modify the .ini (read the description of the post) the thing you can do is put that Graphics settings on Medium-High and try again to see if it improves like it happen on my PC. Thanks for the review!
This in combination with AC by night is top notch night driving :)

el_mattpro
Thanks you :) Actually i dont work on Night filter, i just made the DayTime filter and well.. if its work at night, good.. if it doesnt i'll make a new one later, but my priority is DayTime racing :) Thanks for the review and Rating
Good work, mate ! ;)

Thanks you
It's a really excelent ppfilter, very good job!

el_mattpro
el_mattpro
Thanks you for the review, i'm glad that you like the filter and yes, you can switch betwen the presets to check wich looks better at sunset for you, and you can modify any of them doing the next thing i write in the post, i'll copy and paste the post description:
Sunlight Fix only (if it is to bright for you)
To fix this go to the .ini file and search the category [GLARE], now you have different options, the line LUMINANCE=0.08 will modify every single light strengh (from kunoz engine) below that you have SHAPE_BLOOM_LUMINANCE=7 (this one will modify the intensity of this light, the sun and reflections of this) and then SHAPE_BLOOM_DISPERSION=0.0001 (higher the value, less dispersion and more sharper to the image/object this will be, so higher number is less BLOOM)

Hope it helps :)
good stuff.

Thanks you for the review :) i'm glad that you like it
Ottimo lavoro, ma continuo a preferire la versione 0.9, la trovo più vicina alla realtà, però ho solo messo ii tuoi pp senza altre mod grafiche.

It's ok :) Thanks for the review!
Works great for VR out of the box .. ;)

I'm glad that it works well on VR! if you want to change anything just check the post for more information, Thanks for the review, as i said in other answer, i haven't VR so i don't know how well it work on it :). Thanks!
Looks fantastic will it work with the rift tho?
el_mattpro
el_mattpro
If with "rift" you mean Oculus / VR then yes, the mod have to work on VR without problems, anyway i havent VR so i can't test it on VR gear, maybe it is to bright, to dark, to saturated... i don't know really, but if you want to modify something for VR tell me what and i'll try to help you and make a new .ini for the VR users on the future. Thanks!
Good filter in combination with GBW. But the shadows are too dark for me. How can I change this?
el_mattpro
el_mattpro
Shadows Dark fix:
If you want to make brighter the darker areas and shadows, open the .ini preset you want to modify and change the line under [TONEMAPPING] - "GAMMA=0.30" to something higher, this will change every single shadow (the darkest it can get), remember that GAMMA will affect lightning too, so if you want to make this equilibrate, while you add Gamma, down the same amount (or a bit less) of "BRIGHTNESS=0.43" under line [COLOR] (at the bottom of the .ini).
This is absolutely stunning. Totally transforms AC. I can’t believe how great it looks, coupled with GBW weather and shader patch. Who needs Competizione when you have this filter. Well done

Thanks you so much "Katikcomer", i tested and develop my filter using gbw mod as main weather mod, with shader lights in their first version and the latest builds until now :)
I'm glad that you like the Filter
Bel lavoro matt, continua così, uno dei migliori filtri al momento!

My game is very dark is there any way I can fix this?

The pp looks great, good work. But I have a issue: I love driving in sunset and the sunbrightness is burning my eyes out. I've tried exporsure on 1%.. no change. Is the issue known?
el_mattpro
el_mattpro
Yes, as i said before i try to replicate how blind the sunlight leaves you while driving on the street at sunset/afternoon, specially on highway in real life, but if you want to change this check the post description under [GLARE] parameter and change settings to your preferences, i'll copy paste next what i write on the post:
Sunlight Fix only (if it is to bright for you)
To fix this go to the .ini file and search the category [GLARE], now you have different options, the line LUMINANCE=0.08 will modify every single light strengh (from kunoz engine) below that you have SHAPE_BLOOM_LUMINANCE=7 (this one will modify the intensity of this light, the sun and reflections of this) and then SHAPE_BLOOM_DISPERSION=0.0001 (higher the value, less dispersion and more sharper to the image/object this will be, so higher number is less BLOOM)
Good job. I really liked the effect that is achieved at night and in some hours of the day.
You have improved it a lot. I like it. Keep it up.
