A new graphics style for xUI v1.80 by Riff. The goal was to make a sleek-looking, non-distracting UI with clear legible fonts for wide high-resolution screens.
Installation
Removal
Delete ui.osc, replace it with the original file. Delete the files which names begin with x. The functionality of xUI v1.80 was not modified; the only addition is the Quick Race button in top menu, which is accessible from any relevant screen of the UI. Clicking this button will take you right to the track, using the currently selected settings (mod, car, session type etc.). It won’t work only if your last session was a multiplayer one.
The third spring settings are not visible unless your current mod uses them.
To change the background in showroom, use the files from Extras folder. Just drop them into UIData folder after editing.
To disable UI sounds delete the UISounds folder.
Notes from MJQT
This is not my mod. All credits to Riff, who created this amazing UI. He had stated that the mod should only be uploaded to other sites (than rFactorCentral) after contacting him. However, since rFC has since gone down and I was unable to find contact info for Riff, I thought it worth sharing here to preserve the mod.
Riff, if you find this page and are not okay with me sharing this, please just let me know, and I will happily take this down.
Thank you very much to TrippTeam for maintaining his server, which has allowed the survival of many old mods like this one that would have likely disappeared forever without his preservation efforts!

Installation
- Backup your current …rFactor\UIData folder by copying it (if needed).
- Place the provided UIData folder into your rFactor directory, overwriting the files.
- If any mod has its own folder inside UIData, copy the provided UI files into this folder too. If the mod uses an .osc file named other than ui.osc, then after copying the provided UI files inside the mod’s folder you have to rename ui.osc to mod.osc (mod is the name of the mod’s own .osc file).
- Another way is to open the mod’s .rfm file and put // before these lines:
- OptionsDir=UIDATA\MOD\
- OptionsSounds=UIDATA\MOD\UISOUNDS\
- OSCFile=MOD.OSC
- Open …rFactor\UserData\YourName\Yourname.plr and edit the following lines as follows:
- Low Detail UI="0" to enable high resolution textures
- Miscellaneous="1" to allow zooming in showroom
