Amazing! i recently got a copy on steam and this made it ten times better. Just one thing that you may or may not want to look into, and see if others have the same problem; when i run the game ( A clean unmodded copy) i can alt tab out and back in withouth problems, HQ lets me alt tab out but not back in, ive reinstalled the game several times trying to do everything as perfect as possible in hope that it was just a mistake i made, but no matter what i do the problem remains. sorry for my english and if im being just dumb and not seeing something

I have checked and I can alt-tab on my side, maybe you have installed a plugin which breaks alt-tab : I recall it was the case with ENBseries hdr by example.

I have old retail CD version that I tried first to see if all the gear works but since DD1 by default takes up two USB entries can only use with pedals and not shifter since Keyboard takes up other slot as Mike mentioned USB limit in his youtube video. No big deal but was hoping to use sequential but paddles work fine also.

Still working thru FFB options for some reason when I use the DD1 preset using the magical config cmd I don't get any FFB but the others I do so going to do some compares to see if something is not right in my config. When I use the default and turn DD1 down to 20% brings back memories of how it felt on old logitech kit.

Went ahead and bought steam version so I can check out VR with CC and as long as you choose the digital exe per the comments in the readme it works great. No issues but like all VR need to dial in the settings/SS to get good exp with the gear that I have (i5-8700, 2080ti, rift S)

The iron wolf has unlocked the 3 usb limit in his CrewChief beta so you can pm him to know more or just wait next CrewChief update.
Thank you very much for all your work and the gifting of it. It has made a huge improvement to the games appearance and enjoyment. I just need to get it running better with my Fanatec gear now; getting occilations, but that's nowt to do with your work. I'm hoping to find something here to help with that.

Hi! Just updated to the latest version, and I have noticed that the game crashes upon attempting to start any sort of race session using the 360 Modena GT. I do not know if anyone else has this issue, or if it is just me. I can supply the .DMP file from the crashes if required.

You did not read the readme, that's very bad :D
Out of the box after extracting archive you have nocd set by default which, indeed, doesn't support crewchief plugin.
But, as written in readme, launch GTR2_SETUP.CMD and 33 pages of various options will illuminate your life : answer is at page III, select binary #2 ;)

Sadly I don't own RTX card so that's not possible for me. Nevertheless, ReShade is a generic plugin which works on most directX games so you can test any version from rfactor or AMS, it will work more or less the same way in GTR2.
GTR 2 is still in my top 3 racing games and this mod is part of why. I have never had any serious issues with it, and when I have you guys have helped me resolve them.
And on a side note I am a paying member because I get a lot of mods here and want to support RD. And this is the only place I download from now, because of it's superior quality.

An incredible job by all concerned led by the passion of Paul, it's truly amazing just how good this now nearly 15 year old game plays and looks.
Unlike so many of todays games it's complete and now comes with wipers.
This is just AMAZING ! The Force Feedback Tweaks have changed the whole sim for me . Who needs anything more , totally updates things and looks sweet ... Many thanks for your hard work !!
Excellent mods, I tested most and they delivered, but decided just to keep a handful to avoid unnecessary mismatches and such. Graphics receive nice improvement with some patches with rare squeaks. The FOV mod is stellar. The ffb patches are surprisingly good too, testing with a DD (sc2 pro) it feels pretty great, not too far behind at all of modern sims (I wonder how long it took to be done, kudos). Sometimes I get an error message or another, and I often need to set up some things from scratch, but it's not a huge bother.
Great job, but I wonder if it's possible that the patch is causing about 1/2 of my 3rd-party tracks to crash. The trace file usually shows it being related to
a material that can't be loaded. I can usually fix it, but it's digging greatly into my playing time. Any thoughts?

It's a short memory issue, the problem doesn't come from your PC but the way a 14 years old 32bits GTR2.EXE works. Many people on many forums (steam first) suggest to install the old nocd : this is the worst idea because it is limited to 1.8gb RAM, so if you load recent mods/tracks converted from AC/ACC/RF2/F1 20xx codies then your allocated 1.8gb of RAM are full and Crash-To-Desktop without signal in trace.txt file.
Both NOCD1/NOCD2 in HQ Ann. Patch are 4gb patched so you've got an extra 2.2gb of RAM allocated which means you can load a bit more Ai cars without CTD, but at some point you will reach 4gb RAM and CTD too. The new games such as AC/ACC/RF2 are 64bits and can use all your pc RAM available so this is a problem when you convert material to older games as GTR2.
By example, with old nocd of 1,8gb ram I can run around 20 high polygons AC cars, and with 4gb patched NOCD1/2 from HQ Ann. Patch I can load 35 AC cars...but I have CTD at 36 cars grid. Of course it will be even less cars if I run them on heavy tracks >100mb.
So my advice is to reduce AI opponents when you run heavy mods/tracks to not exceed 4gb RAM allocated.
