GoKarts for Assetto Corsa

    This is based in the GoKart 0.3a from @rex1825.
    The MOD was quite complete, but some .ini files had some values that I guess were there for testing.
    With very few changes, I made some improvements:
    • IA doesn't seem drunk anymore
    • IA is much more competitive
    • Karts take less Damage
    • Pilot head not visible for VR
    • Automatic gears now work
    • Suspension & Tyres more realistic
    • Stuttering fixed
    • Tyre model updated to V10
    • 3 Tyres available for every kart (Soft, Medium, Hard)
    • data.acd for better multiplayer (comming in October)
    I added also 3 karts, similar to the ones you can usually rent, to complement the 4 competition models, so this are the karts:
    • 270cc -> 8bhp, 150kg
    • 390cc -> 12bhp, 150kg
    • 250cc -> 28bhp, 143kg
    • 50cc -> 13bhp, 70kg
    • 100cc -> 22bhp, 71kg
    • 125cc -> 31bhp, 71kg
    • 125cc shitfer turbo -> 41(28)bhp, 74kg
    • 125cc shifter SGM -> 48bph, 74kg (comming in October)

    The file to qownload seems to be corrupted, cannot install the mod for insufficient space (asks 900MB of space), can you fix the file or explain me how to solve thanks, all other mods are downloaded with success.

    I think the karts are a little slow; when are the faster karts coming out?

    Maybe something like super karts would be fun on car tracks!

    Thank you mister! fantastic. Touch understeery, it's gotta be a challenge to make a gokart mod feel "perfect" though when (afaik) AC doesn't simulate chassis flex. Thanks for featuring my gokart track in the post :)

    Hi, is it possible to change the jerkily animation of the drivers head when turning in?

      You mean while playing or in the replays ?

      For me it only happens during replays, and the only way I found of not having it jerky in the replays, is to remove completly the leaning animation.

      I prefer having leaning while playing

    I wonder why some people spent more than a quarter of M€ for GT cars :P, a kart like these ones are enough and a lot more fun to drive :D

    Tried the shifter version, great, sound a bit like RC cars/planes :P, but lot's of fun. The 270 is... for drivers who keep driving while sleeping ! Boring. What the point of having twice the weight but a lot less power ?

    Drivers has some glitches (looks like models is hard to put in game space by engine), preview needs to be updated accordingly to the car (the shifter version has no shifter in preview), material of 3D models needs some improvements to be less ugly/cutter than it is now and it would be nice t have various model for each engine displacement (a 50cc engine definitely does not look the same as a 390 cc one). Looking forward to the updates.

    much much better than before. the only thing that i have to say is that rental kart seems slower than reality, i'm used to race in sodi world series and usually i use 270cc, the one of the mod is for sure slower than sodi's karts (i use sodi sr5 or GT4)

      Those Karts you say use in theory the same lawn mower engine than the ones I can rent here, the Honda GX270.
      I set the torque curve acording to that, removing 15-20%, what is normally lost between the engine and the wheel.
      And that matches perfectly the karts from Güeñes. For Villarcayo I had to make a version of the 270cc with worn-out tyres one because it was still 2-3 secs too fast.
      So Sodi karts must be more efficient, and they keep them in optimal conditions, You lucky guy !!!!!

      You can add mower power to your karts changing the "power.lut" file in the data folder

      The 250cc is based on Sodi RX250, much faster ...
