We decided to revert to our roots at Flag-to-Flag and go back to a more accessible car and the F2002 in its originally form was our most successful car back in the day. Time has been surprisingly kind to it over the years, but it still needed a lick of paint to get it into league form.
Thanks to SalamanderSoldier & Qazdar Karim for giving me go-ahead to relaunch the car & to btk150 for his role in creating such an amazing car in the first place. I hope this update does your original work justice.
Feel free to join our server and practice with this car any time, or use it for your own league of course.
Changelog (from original):-
- Reduced lift-oversteer to make the car more accessible and easier to recover control - we don’t allow stability control in the league nowadays, but this change means that you shouldn’t want it any more.
- Faster turn-in to compensate for the less active rear end.
- Tyres run a bit warmer and wear in a less “prescribed” manner.
- Stability over kerbs improved.
- Pit times reduced.
- Reduced maximum level of traction control and reversed it so that 1 is now low and 5 is high.
- Reduced brake heating slightly.
- Locked out accidental downshift from 1st to neutral.
- Allowed an extra 5 degrees of front wing.
- Changed default setup to a less understeery 45 degrees rear wing. Also reduced default diff settings.
- Raised underside collider by 2cm, so that it’s a bit easier to steer on grass and get out of gravel.
- Modernised braking behaviour.
