F1 2021 TyreTempMod - Realistic temperature, grip, wear, strategy v2.5

Had some time for testing.

This version is now much better for tyre temps across the compounds
Revert to 2.3

The changes made in v2.4 are not positive and can cause overheating in harder tyres on certain tracks. The balance in 2.3 is much better

Small update to increase difference in behaviour between different compounds as suggested via feedback.

Softer compunds will heat quicker but also cool quicker.
Harder compounds will be more stable but require more energy to heat (i.e behind safety car). It may also mean harder compounds may require a couple of laps in quailfying to "switch on" as we have seen this year.

These differences are not massive but should be noticed over course of the season.

There should now be greater control of tyre temps from setup and pressures

NEW TEMPERATURE MODEL RELEASE

Brand new temperature model for F1 2021

Tyres now more dynamic with heating and cooling depending on track, driving style and setup. Should feel very different from vanilla game with stable boring tyre temps.

Following from feedback from watching races this year tyre management is now more about keeping the temperatures up, rather than overheating as was seen in the F1 2020 mod. The new model should reflect this. Driving at 100% should see temperature be in or close to ideal temperature (dont be alarmed if all tyres are not bang on ideal temperatures).
Braking has more affect on temperatures.
Slowing down or safety car periods should see temperatures plummet. Keeping temperatures up is key but doesnt have to be done through out the whole safety car period. Once the safety car has signaled it is going to come in there should be time to get everything back up to temperature. Heavy braking, spinning up the rears and weaving is the best way to do this.
It is possible to still overheat tyres but it only really occurs for short periods in a section of track or string of corners.

Also tyre temperatures at the start of race and leaving the pits have been changed from last year, they will be nice and hot when fitted but as you leave the pit they will start to cool quickly until you can get up to speed.

Feedback welcome

Added temperture management to inters and wets. They will heat and cool depending on the track wetness.
Grip loss in inters and wets when overheating is reduced but wear increased, overheating inters and wets will quickly chew through tyre life. Cold inters and wets will result in grip loss.

Front tyres for slicks now will cool when not underload (i.e on straights)

Feedback welcome

Improvements to dry-inter-wet cross overs
Big improvements to temperature performance balance.
Fix of pit release bug

NEW FEATURE - each tyre now has a "sweetspot" temperture where a small performance boost is given. The temperature is different for each compound. Its a small window and wont be possible to keep it in this window for the whole lap but the more you can the more the boost will be applied.
This is to simulate when drivers are able to hook everything together and get faster times than normal. I have not said what temperature each compound is set to give the boost as drivers do not have this information either

Large scale fixes for all tyres.

Wets and Inters now work correctly.

Tyres should work with lower temps but will over heat if pushed too hard.
Tyre pressures play big part to temps

Off track (grass & gravel) will act more realistic. Rears will spin up if you try to throttle too much to get back on track, gentle return to track before going full throttle or you will spin up tyres and overheat them

Feedback welcome. Have done alot of testing and working fine for me now.

Thanks
A revert to a more vanilla model while work on new car models. Seems it needs a greater look than first thought.

This versions uses hybrid of orginial mod settings and vanilla ones to get better game experience for now

Watch this space for new temp model in future.....

:)
Driving in rain should now be much better
Rework of inters to dry cross over, seems this year the drying period is longer than F2020 so overheating of inters was a problem. Inters should now remain cool, wear will still be high on a drying track.
Also brake balance has a bigger effect this year, so moving the bias from front to rear can stop overheating/cooling for all tyres.
