Beautiful! I just did a race weekend here with 16 AIs driving the VW Golf GTI and it was damn fun! The track layout is amazing and you did a great work.
Some notes:

- I had to modify the ui_track.json file to fill in the missing track length and number of bitboxes

- pit spots are a bit too close to each other so the AIs have difficulties to exit their pitbox (I've seen this little problem in a lot of other mod tracks)

- pit crew stand on the track-side of the pit wall instead of the pit-side of it

- AIs at 100% are a bit slow (my best qualify lap 1.36.839 vs. 1.37.970 the best AI)

Even in this WIP stage the track is excellent and far better than a lot of other "finished" mod tracks!
Looking at your TO-DO-LIST is easy to bet that this track is going to become a 5 stars!

Oh god... The good memories racing that track in rFactor and GTR2... Now in AC!!! (^o^)
Tracks looks very good and detailed, I can't believe it's your first one. lol
Did you use at least GTR2 track to help you making it?

A few notes...
Lighting is quite dark I think, even when I use my brightest filters.
I have NO idea how to adjust lighting/shaders in tracks, but I wish you could try to make it look like Kunos tracks.
Secondly, I think some textures are SO detailed that you could try to make them a bit more compressed and gain a few FPS.
Finally, I wonder if some of the last corners aren't a bit too bumpy. Not sure...
Oh yeah, like below comment says, the pits might be too narrow, right?

the track is self is scratch built from google data, so probly not perfect but i have studied a lot of videos online. again this stuff is all pretty new to me.... ill get it all working.

J'ai pas mal tourné sur ce circuit dans les années 90 , en Alpine A110 gr4 . La sensation de réalisme de ton circuit est saisissante .Le tracé est conforme , les dénivelés également . On se "vautre " facilement dans l'épingle en descente (qu'on appelais "le dégueuloir"...), avant la remontée vers le musée ,et le S descendant avant la ligne droite est difficile , il faut impérativement freiner avant , comme dans la vraie vie....
Comme dans la réalité , ce n'est pas un circuit de formule un . Mais avec des autos raisonnables (Ford Escort , Alfa GTV , groupe A , etc ) on se fait très plaisir . Pour les records , une F3 c'est très bien !
Il n'y a plus qu'a le fignoler plus pour le plaisir des yeux .

Great work Jim, loving the layout, my type of track I tell you :) Those fps drops though, especially the last corner, which comes a bit frustrating being such a nice curving drop. Even more when doing a race, I did try turning my preset off, but it's still there.

Agreed its frustrating for me too. I went crazy will the terrain polygons in my lack of knowledge when i first started out. Just out of intetest what Gpu are you useing

Love the track, one of my favorites to drive. Looks great, just hoping you plan to put more detail in over time as been spoilt by many of the track modders as there's such a high standard now :)
