California License Plates

32 California License Plates (for 4:1 ratio) (80's Style)

15 standard plates, 17 Personalised plates

As has been mentioned in a review (see below) These are not the correct US shape license plate.. There is no way round this... Unless you want to extract all Kunos cars kn5's and alter the model. It's a shame Kunos doesn't implement a models.ini in the cars folder... and reference a separate... PLATE.KN5...
I would have thought this would be pretty easy from Kunos's point of view... Anyway... The choice is yours... European looking plates... or these!

~~I might do some for the Japanese size plates if there's enough interest. I also might do some Blue and Yellow style 70's plates...~~

Install
Extract california_license_plates to a temp directory...
Go to the skin folder you want to use the plate with...
Rename the existing Plate_D.dds & Plate_NM.dds
To something like... (For when you want to go back)
Plate_D_ORIGINAL.dds & Plate_NM_ORIGINAL.dds
Copy the plate you want into that folder...

*NOTE: THESE ARE TO BE USED WITH CARS WITH 4:1 DIMENSION PLATES*

Cheers, Well that's obvious really isn't it... But seeing as I can't change Kunos's model (and therefore) what the Plate_D.dds texture is applied to... I don't think that = 3 stars TBH... It's either this or you have the Kunos (European looking plates)... The choice is yours mate.

I know full well that the JAP PACK cars have the correct ratio plates... But not everyone has that DLC.

If you know of a way to change the ratio of where the plate is applied to, without extracting the all the cars kn5's... Feel free to let me know ;)

I deserve 5 stars... Kunos deserves 3 stars for not allowing choosing plates and plate sizes...lol

Thanks. That's what I was intending early on, and then someone confirmed it by saying... "Where are the cops?" I will package all the CHP skins up when I know they won't be changing much. Don't know about a championship/story not sure how that all works yet... Maybe... Good review :) Cheers
