I am pleased to upload my skinpack for the Formula Trainer which is a Formula Ford really, so the pack is based off the 2017 Australian Formula Ford Series.
The pack consists of 20 cars all painted as accurately as i could from pictures i found online, the series uses two manufacturers and the body shapes are different mainly the engine cover, cockpit sides and longer nose so some artist license was used to get them ones to work. Obviously each car has the correct driver name and number. Also included is a 'series' file and it's own icon in the selection screen.
Due to a problem i came across whilst making the mod, that being that the rollbar would not show up painted in game and the only way to fix this was to alter the model itself this mod does come in two parts. I also took the opportunity to put the three dzus clips on the nose cover which were not included in the original model, i don't know why they didn't do this as they put the clips on the engine cover. The skins will work without the updated model but if you want the full effect of the skins you will need to use the updated model, which is included as optional.
Installation.
Download/unpack the zip file
Merge the two folders Gamedata & Series.
This will NOT overwrite any original AMS files.
Optional.
If you would like to use the updated car model and i hope you do
Open the folder Updated Car Model and merge the Gamedata folder inside.
This WILL overwrite the original AMS file, so please make a copy of the original 'F_Trainer.mas' file or rename it (just in case)
I have tested the mod without error or conflict but should you have a problem please don't hesitate to comment and i will try and help if i can.
Please check out the below video's to see what you get, the first shows all 20 cars rotating in the 'showroom' and the second is the cars on track.
