    Aspertsham – real public roads in Bavaria
    v0.5 (Alpha)

    Track for Assetto Corsa, made from scratch.
    This is my first track ever. I still have to learn many things about track making.

    At the moment it's for hotlapping only.

    The track is located in Upper Bavaria (80 km away from Munich) and is 3.6 km long with very narrow roads. The layout is more or less a classic triangle circuit with three slow corners, connected by straights and some bends.

    Known issues:
    - no track map (please follow the arrows on the small wood signs)
    - no track cameras
    - no ai
    - some missing collision boxes (especially for trees)
    - number of pits: 2
    - physics "road" for everything, no grass or dirt surface
    - the mesh is not finished yet, it's too rough in some places/corners
    - still one big mesh, no subdivision in smaller parts
    - still too many textures and materials, therefore high DIP
    - some placeholder textures, missing objects
    - texture mapping wrong in some places
    - small lines above a few textures (wrong uv coordinates)

    Announcement: release date v.07
    Originally I wanted to release the update of my Aspertsham track on Christmas day, but I didn't manage to complete everything (due to some unexpected things), so I have to reschedule.
    Release date for the next version will be: March 18th, 2018.

    Things that will be new:
    - some new textures (road, grass, fields)
    - some 3D trees (and 3D chickens)
    - new hill terrain in the south (corrected elevations)
    - some new houses in Irl and Aspertsham, new details in Hargassen
    - revised junction at Irl
    - new bridge at Braunrott
    - completed road at Wiesling and gravel path at Braunrott
    - new reflector posts
    - new collision boxes

    I honestly can't understand the reasoning behind the newest update with the invisible walls. Will definitely be using the prior version to that, as I feel an open world map (what the AC community really wants) is much more true to the original thoughts of this map. The reasoning with legal reasons doesn't make any sense imo.

    Very limited despite the detail. Invisible wall straight ahead of the spawn/pit point gave me a heart attack and now I am in hospital.

    Absolut geil auf sowas hat AC schon lange gewartet. Fan der ersten stunde. Klar das mit den wänden findet keiner gut aber is so, wenn du sagst es gibt noch mehr zu erkunden und es kommen noch mer layouts passt das wieder..

    The graphics in this are insane. Proves that AC engine still isn't dated if you put enough effort and have enough skill. Out of all trackmods, this is the one I use if I want to show someone what AC graphics are capable of. It's like driving in a showroom, except it isn't showroom.

    But one criticism, the lawnmower man and such objects that would be animated and moving IRL, would kind of hope that they would be further away from the road, so their static nature wouldn't be as obvious... so you would get maybe a fast glimpse from the side window, not a long good look.

    I know people like the lawnmower guy standing there, but dunno.. it starts to feel a bit goofy over time... or if you drive a slower car. It's limitation of AC engine and imo it detracts from the (frankly, unmatched) immersion and visual of this track. Instead of adding to it. Too close to track

    Super. Klasse. Weiter so. Ein Saarländer dankt nach Bayern. Die schöne Landschaft ist traumhaft gelunden. Vielleicht gibt es noch ein paar Abbiegungen mehr mit Gravel . Nochmals - DANKE -

    Tausend Dank - ist einfach perfekt geworden. Wird es ggf. noch eine weitere Strecke geben? Evtl. mit Anbindung an die A3? Bald gibts die ersten Touristen in Aspertsham :-))

    I want to thank you for this track because thanks to you my wife now also enjoys driving sportscars in VR. This is also the track I use to showcase the immersion with the HTC Vive. Thank you for your hard work and I wish you all the best.

    I love this Track so much and was really sad that it themed to be dead.

    Incredible that you really have to worry about German Laws when you make a Mod, was ein Scheiß !

    Thanks Thomas for this excellent work! Should I be in Altötting again, I'll definitely come by and see if the roads are really narrow and the fields so wide! Even at the risk of bouncing against an invisible wall! :-)
    PS: Did my 488 test often used as a lawn mower ....
