AL SUPER TOURING EXPERIENCE
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
CONSIDER THIS AS A PUBLIC BETA. I HAVE TESTED A LOT; BUT THERE WILL PROBABLY BE SOME BUGS.
THIS VERSION IS MADE FOR AL SUPER TOURING SEASONS 2.10 AND FORWARD
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
WHAT IS THIS?
This version of the simulator is made for AL Super Touring 2.10 mod for Race07, and it is a completely new 'simulator',
It is slightly inspired by the career in Toca Race Driver 1. The focus is on Super Touring cars 1995 - 2000.
The idea is to simulate being a race driver in the second half of the 1990's.
The simulator is provided 'As is' without any warranty.
(The only harm the simulator could possibly do is to overwrite a file, but only in it's own directory unless the user save the file manually elsewere.)
To run the simulator, open STExperience.html in iExplorer, Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge.
The program imports a finished Race07 championship file '_FST_Experience_Championship.bch',
analyzes it and creates a new saved shampionship file 'ST_Experience_Championship.bch' which can be loaded in the game.
Based on the results there will be new job offers from different teams, and it is also possible to race as a privateer with the family team.
The manufacturers that took part in most of the british seasons 1995 to 2000 are available.
You can race for Ford, Honda, Nissan, Renault, Vauxhall and Volvo.
THINGS LEFT TO DO
* Sort out bugs and make improvements.
* Convert the simulator to .exe as a standalone application.
INSTALLATION:
//------
1. (OPTIONAL) Create a new game profile in Race07 named John Evans, nationality British, to get the main characters name in game.
Some tips for changes in the .plr file that can improve your Race07 + this mod:
(the .plr file is usually located in C:\Users\*USERNAME*\Documents\SimBin\RACE 07\UserData\*PROFILENAME*)
Steer Ratio Speed="0.00000" // Speed at which low speed steering lock override ends. Default: 25.00000
Compressed Textures="0" // Can give better framerate than "1"
AI Power Calibration="0" // Adjustments with AI strength (0=none, or add the following: 1=power, 2=gearing, 4=fuel)
AI Max Load="40000.00000"
AI to AI Collision Rate="40" // Detection rate per second (1-40) for AI-to-AI collisions
Player Car Equal="0" // Might have something to do with ai catch-up
//------
2. Unzip 'Gamedata' folder to your Race07 folder.
//------
3. Unzip 'Championships' folder to your C:\Users\*USERNAME*\Documents\SimBin\RACE 07\UserData\*GAME PROFILENAME YOU WANT TO USE WITH THE SIMULATOR* folder.
(Or where the userdata is located)
//------
USAGE:
The simulator is made to be used in Internet Explorer with FileSystem API enabled.
Allow blocked contents, and allow ActiveX controller (might needs to be done in iexplorer tools section).
Standard security settings should work. If ActiveX controllers are blocked,
the simulator asks you to import and export files manually.
It can also be used in Internet Explorer with FileSystem API disabled or with Edge or Chrome, but some things has to be done manually then.
THE PROGRAM SHOULD TELL YOU WHAT TO DO, SO PLEASE READ THE INSTRUCTIONS.
It is not recommended to export the same season two times, as this may result in the settings save file and the championship file beeing out of sync.
The program should usually compensate for this, but in some occasions it can get stuck.
To reset the program, open 'ST_Experience_Settings.txt' and change 'STARTMODE' from 0 to 1.
* START SCREEN
News and tips
Also, this is where you read your emails with job offers.
* DRIVER AREA
Statistics from your career, collection of trophys, economy overview.
This is also where you can restart your career.
* TEAM AREA
Read statistics about the team and see goals for next season and available bonuses.
You can also see the team spirit. A good team spirit will help you get a faster teammate and make it less likely that you will be replaced.
* CHAMPIONSHIP AREA
Championship information, rules and tracks.
This is also where you can edit available tracks and load or save pre-made track packs.
* MEDIA AREA
Read about the previous season to get the nice Super Touring era feeling.
The information is from Wikipedia, but edited to fit.
* SETTINGS AREA
Set the difficulty, driving aids etc. in game for the championship.
* SAVE AND EXPORT
Export files for Race07.

There are some ways to get bonuses and collect money for privateer campains, but there is always a risk that you will be left without a seat and can't afford to participate, just like some real drivers in the 90's.
If I ever complete the Fiesta Cup mod, I will include it as a cheaper alternative.
