AI performance change, less rain in dynamic weather, optional reverse track order career 5.1

This is indeed an update to the database file of this mod, even though in my previous update I mentioned that it would be the final.

After racing 8 races in a custom designed season mode I have fixed the following issues found with version 4.0/4.1 of this mod:
  1. Tyre wear. Issue was found after a 100% race in Sochi where some AI cars were still making one extra pit-stop to change tyres in comparison to others. Front tyre wear all AI cars now changed to be within a 3% wear variation of each other. Rear tyre wear all AI cars now changed to be within 1% variation of each other. Some cars will still wear tyres marginally faster than others, but no car should make an extra pit-stop just for tyres.
  2. Mercedes was still too overpowered and at some tracks were lapping the whole field. Adjustment made to virtual performance of tiers and virtual performance of each car within each tier in order to bring the gap closer to Mercedes. Mercedes will still be the fastest car, however the gap to other AI cars will now be closer.
I will not be releasing a version of this update with the reverse track order for career mode as it hasn't proven to be very popular by download amount. However I have made a back-up copy of the same database changes with the reverse track order for career, so if you specifically want this file, just request me by PM and I can send it to you via a separate external upload.

**If this is your first time download of this mod, please ensure to visit version 3.0 and 3.1 and download the tod.xml files that accompany this mod to ensure you get the changes to dynamic weather featured as part of this mod.**

**Please note that you *may* need to create a new profile after installing this mod if your current profile does not load after installing it, as there has been a change made to the database file.**

Remember to backup any of your original game files that you may replace by this or any other mod that you download.

This version 4.1 of this mod contains the same final updates to the mod as is featured in version 4.0, only the track calendar for the full career mode is in it's correct order as per the real-life F12014 season.

Version 4.1 is the *final* update to this mod, which brings together the real-life season performances of the 2014 drivers and teams, and lessens the chance of rain in dynamic weather mode even further. **IMPORTANT** For the dynamic weather part of this mod to work properly, please ensure you have downloaded and installed all the tod.xml files and placed them in each of their correct track folders from version 3.0/3.1 of this mod.

Versions 4.0 and 4.1 will only be database updates, so if you have already installed a previous database version, you will just need to install the database update from this version over the top of your current database file and you're good to go, as long as you also have the tod.xml files installed in their correct track folders.
Version 4.1 to follow shortly which has the career mode calendar in the correct track order. This version 4.0 contains the optional track calendar reversal for full career mode.

This is version 3.1 of this mod, which contains the same updates as version 3.0 (see version 3.0 description for updates). The only difference with this version 3.1 is that the optional reverse track order in full length career mode is removed from this version and replaced by the normal track order found in F1 2014 for full length career. All the rest remains the same.

3rd and final version of this mod (unless otherwise necessary to make a change).

This is version 3.0. Version 3.1 will be uploaded shortly with the tracks from the F1 2014 calendar in the correct order.

This version is the optional version where you can play your career in reverse track order, where you start your career seasons in Abu Dhabi and finish in Australia, the calendar is in the exact reverse order to the normal F1 2014 calendar.

Changes made to database and tod.xml files

Changes include (but are not limited to) the following:
  • AI driver aggression and control levels changed. Some AI drivers will be more aggressive than others and have more or less control, depending on their real-life abilities.
  • Drivers performances have been changed to be as much as real to life as possible for the F1 2014 season.
  • All drivers have had their wet weather abilities decreased, some more than others, to be as much to real as life as their wet weather abilities.
  • Overall performance of tier levels have been revamped - the gap between tier 1 and tier 2 cars is now slightly greater, so it will be a little more difficult for the tier 2 AI cars to challenge the tier 1 cars, as it is in the real life F1 2014 season.
  • Dynamic environment settings have been altered by percentage both in the database and the tod file of each track, which will ensure that there will be less rain when the game is played in dynamic weather option. There will still be rain, but the chances of getting rain are now reduced. You will not get any rain in Abu Dhabi or Bahrain, which are both in the desert. The chance of getting rain varies from track to track.
  • AI driver qualifying abilities have been changed to match as close to possible their real-life qualifying abilities for the F1 2014 season in real life.
  • All the teams now have the correct engines as per the real life F1 2014 season.
  • Front and rear tyre wear rates have been adjusted by team, to ensure that the chances of AI cars 3-stopping at some tracks have been reduced. Not all cars wear at the same rate, some wear their tyres faster than others.
  • Tiers have been adjusted for each team as according to the real life F1 2014 season, and the performance of each team in each tier is also adjusted to be as much as real to life as possible.
  • A maximum amount of 3 safety cars can now be deployed in any race of 25% of higher.
  • Safety car chances have been adjusted on a track by track basis. Some tracks you will have a higher probability of having a safety car deployed than others, depending on the type of track and the layout of the track.
  • The 7 tracks that feature in the short career mode of the game have now been changed to be the 7 tracks that do not feature in the medium length 12 race career in the game.
  • Chance of rain is now reduced and the chance of sun increased for dynamic weather.
  • If you do get rain in the race whilst in dynamic weather mode, the duration time of the rain shower will be less. For example, you may only get a rain event lasting for 15 minutes instead of 20 minutes whilst in a race.
Please also note that weather in career mode of this game may indeed be scripted (cannot confirm this), so dynamic weather changes my only affect your game in Grand Prix mode.

If you have a previous version of this database installed, it is now recommended that you create a new profile save if you wish to start with this database, as your previous profile save may no longer work with the latest updates.

Each separate track has it's own different tod.xml file. Please make sure you copy over the correct file to it's matching track, and don't forget to copy over the new database file to replace the previous one.

Always remember to back up all your files that need to be replaced by a mod. Otherwise you may not be able to play the game online.

Version 2.1

This is the same as version 2.0 only without track reversal in full career mode. It still contains the 7 different tracks for short career mode and all the same tweaks and updates for the AI from version 2.0 of this mod.

Update for version 2.0

Change log:
  1. Tweaked performance of McLaren, Red Bull and Williams (all slightly slower than version 1.0). This is because Red Bull and Williams were at a similar level to Mercedes in version 1.0, but in real life should be at a slightly lower level.
  2. Tweaked the stats for Rosberg (slightly faster now), and Magnussen (performance should be slightly less now).
  3. Reduced front and rear tyre wear levels for Williams cars. They were too high, higher than all other cars on the grid. This was causing them at some tracks with higher levels of tyre wear to make one extra pit stop compared to all the other AI cars.
