Youtube poor video quality

Hi guys,

maybe someone here knows more about this. I tried to up the quality of my racing videos and tried a bit with diffrent recording tools and stuff and now I am pretty happy with the results. The videos are sharp in 1080p and the filesize is somewhat ok.

But know my biggest issue is, that when I upload the video it looks as bad as my old ones (1080p selected of course).

I uploaded a screen how the video looks on my PC and when uploaded to youtube.
Resolution is 1920x1080 exactly what youtube wants and also used H.264 with settings, that should fit youtube But when uploaded the video escpecially in the fast moving parts looks very pixely more 720p like than 1080p, but there is still a small diffrence changing between 720p and 1080p on youtube. I searched a few sites, but never found something really usable.

YouTube also compresses 1080p, it will never look as good as before your upload, nothing you can do about it.

Just out of interest what program are you editing with and what are your exact export settings? (Just take a screenshot of the window with the parameters)

I used MSI Afterburner or OBS (open broadcast software) and compressed it using handbrake. There is no editing in the video and I don't have a good editing tool.

So I take it the uncompressed video from OBS is H264? What is the size of the original video? What are your compression settings from Handbrake?
