Xbox one three screens?

Discussion in 'Sim Racing Hardware' started by Oops, Jul 6, 2014.

  1. Hi all,
Probably a silly question I was wondering if there is anyway that the Xbox one could output to three screens like eyefinity ?
  2. Not yet that I'm aware of. The Xbox 360 could do it but you needed three 360's and three copies of the game you wanted to play.
  3. Not a silly question but sadly no it won't work. I don't think the XBone has the sheer horsepower for triples tbh, nor the PS4.

I think the only hope will be for MS to create some form of heavily optimised Oculus Rift clone which could be even better for immersion. I have no doubt that will happen but unfortunately I can't see it happening any time soon as MS appear very coy on VR at the moment.
  4. Neither did the previous generation consoles but the 360 and PS3 were capable through daisy-chaining. I have not seen anything about the PS4 or XBO being capable of this yet though, maybe to be added later, although very few people want to buy three consoles and three copies of the same game.
  5. Very true. It would appear from this thread http://forums.xbox.com/xbox_forums/xbox_support/xbox_one_support/f/4269/t/1624807.aspx that the Xbone no longer supports system link like its predecessor the 360. Odd to remove such a feature.
  6. Well, it likely wasn't very popular due to cost.
  7. Don't be too quick on saying NO!

On the other side they did already a proof of concept for Forza 5 running on a PC with DirectX 12:

So maybe they just used a modified version and a PC on the E3?!?!?

  8. If I'm not mistaken that's the mad cats wheel he's using in the top video
  9. That second video was nothing more than a way to get people excited for DX12. Forza will never be on the PC. It sells too many consoles to not remain console exclusive, you know pirates and all.
