The 2013 FIA World Touring Car Championship proves to be in excellent shape, as twenty-five cars have been entered by fifteen teams in the WTCC season opener that takes place at Monza, Italy next weekend.

The entry list features model cars built by five different car Manufacturers: BMW (8), SEAT (7), Chevrolet (5), Honda (3) and LADA (2).

Among the drivers who are aiming to fight for the World Champion’s crown are three former WTCC winners: Yvan Muller (champion in 2008, 2010 and 2011) at the wheel of a Chevrolet Cruze run by RML, Gabriele Tarquini (champion in 2009) who drives a Civic for the Honda Racing Team JAS, and reigning champion Rob Huff who joined the ALL-INKL.COM Münnich Motorsport in a SEAT León.

Biggest name missing on the entry list is that of Swiss Alain Menu, who seems to have quietly left the series to race this season in the Porsche Supercup.

Hmm I see the Dutch Eurosport only shows race 2 on Eurosport 1 the other race and the qualification will be only on Eurosport 2.

Well great, that will be another season without WTCC then. They broadcast cross country skiing instead lol. Really a sport I can't wait for to see live.

I can´t understand why the didn´t show Wtcc any longer.
In times of Etcc they show everything of an event and that´s why it is what it is today!
And now they destroy the series by not showing it in freetv!
:(
The same like ADAC GT MASTERS, there they limited the startfield to 25 starters on a raceseries that lives from the many manufactures!

The neutral revs sound like a steamboat. Kinda weird. Why is this?

My motorsport newspaper tells me, WTCC will be on Eurosport 1 for Race 2, Race 1, Warm-up, Qual on 2.
Qual and Warmup have been on 2 regularly last year, so not good, but still not worse.
