WTCC 2006 - Valencia 06

Valencia is located in the heart of Spain and rivals the track in Barcelona as the premier Spanish venue for motorsports. The layout has a great flow and rythm, drivers say the corner combinations "feel" natural and logical. It also has lots of overtaking opportunities and several corners where alternative lines can be taken.

To do a fast lap at Valencia you need to nail the last and very challenging turn perfectly. It is a blind downhill negative camber braking zone, where you need to trust your instincts. The exit from that last corner is the key element at Valencia, get it right and you will carry speed all the way down the straight, get it wrong and you will compromise both your current lap and the next one.

The track is fun to drive and the WTCC cars always put up a great spectacle here.

LOL! This is crazy. I started time attack since 2 months for the first time and made a few laps. I loaded the default setup and changed the gears. Then went out, planning to find out if I can drive the same laptimes again and again and again. I was thinking about 1:42.4 or stuff like that...

1:41.635 was something very unexpected .

Half a second faster than my old record? With the default setup? WTF! Maybe Sander lost his skill just in that instant. I dunno where this speed comes from. Is anyone missing his skills???

I have lost my RACE skills some time ago, but I've found them back in GTR2, also you were already faster than me before. Must be someone else, I haven't seen SAi here for long

Did some laps in the Alfa today, 1:42.8, when I fine-tune my setup and get all turns right, I can drive 1:42.5
