Worn potentiometer in gas pedal (g27)

Heya!

I may have an issue with my G27. When playing iRacing, the pedal spikes a bit: When I want to go full throttle, ocasionally the throttle hampers, randomly alternating between roughly 80 and 100 procent throttle. This, obviously, slows me down, which is annoying as iRacing doesn't easily allow for deadzones to be set.

Any idea on how to fix this easily? Or do I have to replace the potentiometer in full?

You need to clean the pots, but it can be fixed. A few basic tools, some contact cleaner or at least alcohol (no WD40!), and lots a patience. Takes roughly 2 hours if you have never took apart something like this.

Forget cleaning, Digi Key in America supply same spec. I bought 5 for £25 delivered to the UK... works great.
