[WIP]AI Mod v0,1b (Patch 1.2!)

  1. The mod is Work in Progress and is still not released!
    Increased overall AI aggression.​
    Increased pilot-based AI aggression.​
    Increased AI mistakes.​
    AI retirements due to technical issues limited to 2 (pilots) per race.​
    Lotus/HRT/Virgin teams made faster (You won't be bored if you race for them anymore).​
    Increased Safety Car Chance.​
    Max Safety Cars per race: 2 (on some races like Monaco - 4).​
    Safety Car speed slightly increased.​
    Every AI has 2% chance to stall at race start.​
    Every driver has a different chance of making a mistake. (Lower grade drivers make more mistakes).​
    50 flashbacks on all difficulties.​
    Autosave fixed!​
    Out of Sight bug fixed!​
    As Force India finished 6th after Renault the teams are now:​

    Features which I'm working on:​

    I'm trying to fix Massa's performance but he's still fighting for a win even when I made him 0,75 performance. - DONE
    Out of Sight bug- DONE
    There may be some things which I've forgotten!
    This mod does NOT change the breaking points of the cars! It has almost been fixed with Patch 1.2 and I don't want to touch these files again. I have a few tracks made for Patch 1.0/1.1 if someone want 'em I can upload them too but separated from this mod!
    I'm looking for a few testers, because I don't have much time to do 100% races. They'll need to make a few 100% races and tell me what happened (detailed) and send me pictures of the results. If you only want this mod and won't help me - just wait for the final release.
    I will upload a preview video in some time!
    And here's the video! It doesn't show anything special. I made a 20% race at Melbourne and captured some of the moments.

    I included 50 flashbacks @ all difficulties.

    AI Technical Retirements Fixed.
    Now the top drivers won't get retired every race because of technical problems. The backmarkers have a lot bigger chance to get a technical problem and the top teams have the lowest chance.​
    Rebalanced all drivers to match their in-real performance.
    I changed a few more things to driver/team performance so they match their real life performance.​

  2. Wow looks pretty ambitious, a couple questions:

    how far off the pace are the back markers now? (I hope you haven't made them too powerful)

    can there be more than 2 retirements per race? (2 technical plus collisions/mistakes etc)
  3. Does the out-of-sight bug happen (ie do the cars go 2 seconds faster when they are not withion the vision of your car)
  4. 2 technical and IF someone crashes heavily. When I was testing with the overtakes, 1 time they were so aggressive that I saw 2 cars taken out of trying to overtake each other. Now it is balanced. We usually don't see such things in real life. As for the backmarkers - for a 3 laps race as I remember the first backmarker was 10 seconds behind the car in front of him.

    I haven't seen this bug in the original game too. CM said they'll fix it for this version and I haven't tested it but I read somewhere that this happens only if you change the breaking point and cornering speed of the track which I haven't touched (at least on patch 1.2). If you tell me how I can test it - I'll take a look.

    Can you increase the max retiremets?In real Formula 1 there are 3-4 retirements per race.
    Increase AI Agression.We want to see how they take out each other.And they can take out each other when overtaking!Ex Vettel and Webber in Turkey 2010.Increase mistakes!
  6. I looked some races to see how are the pit stops times and I made it in game like this:

    1) Red Bull: 2.9 - 4.0 sec
    2) Ferrari: 3.0 - 4.2 sec

    9) Toro Rosso: 4.3 - 4.4 sec

    12) HRT: 3,7 - 4,7 sec

    Time of pit stops (2011 season). It's bad that there weren't shown any Virgin/HRT/Lotus pit stops.

  7. It's insane the AI's to crash at every race. Now they have a little chance of crashing but it's not so high. When I made it extremely high this happend:

    I can high a little bit more than now but there will be many cars with broken wings which will force them to pit and the fight for the win will get a lot easier as your main opponents will be half a lap behind you. =/

    So it is cool if you let us testing it
    And show a race like Monac...cause if you take Falcon444s Mod in Monaco you see EVERY ROUND a broken front wing (in real this not true)
  9. I've written in my first post that I need testers. Anyways, I just made a 10% race at Monaco and I saw flying parts only 1 time and no one pitted or retired so it's been a very small crash. I haven't tried to make the AI's reckless. The only mistakes they make are while trying to overtake but actually they happen quite often. I don't know why it was like this at Monaco, maybe they're driving more carefully there.

    And I have bad news. The out of sight bug IS working. I'm looking for a fix but without any luck. And when I actually think about this bug - it's not bad. Without it the AI's make 1.25-1.26 @ Australia when you can easily make 1.22-1.23 race pace (low fuel). Now it's harder to catch up but I'll look if I can find what controls it. Maybe if I find - I can make it just to deactivate not at 2 seconds gap but at for example 0,1 secs.

    Oh and by the way, last night before going to sleep I made my first 50% race with this mod. Played with Virgin as J.D'Ambrosio and had quite a fight! I finished behind the 2 Lotuses. The classification was:

    I don't know why they're so close to each other but I think it's a realistic classification. Alonso was fighting with Webber for a podium before they got DNF so Massa would be 5th, Schumi 6th, Di Resta 7th and etc etc etc. Oh and I don't know what happened to Hamilton too, I checked 6-7 laps before the end and he was 3rd and at the last lap when I saw - he was 8th. He made 2 pit stops as every other driver except Buemi and Liuzzi. Liuzzi broke his front wing at first lap and I don't know what has happened to Buemi.

    I need a few testers now because I don't have much time to do long races. I do only 10 or 20% races just to test how things work but it'd be a lot better if I could see results like this on more tracks and detailed information about what happened in the race.

  10. I guess you made the much powerfull as Petrov fighting with Backmarkers what is his position in the race and Whats your's also the Lotus position

    The AI was fast and aggressive but in the video they are still breaking early at the DRS zone to give you position i guess if you change it then the out of sight bug arises
    Over all it looks good but i have some doubts
    1.How the Top tier performs in races ??
    2.Can AI Defend its position??(It wasn't there in the original game that's why i'm asking this)
    3.you haven't shown any retirements in your video so did you see any retirements when they are near to you we can't see other cars as it wasn't been implemented by CM to watch other cars
    4.Do the AI still slow after a safety car restart
    5.Will it causes Redflag ???
  11. The out of sight bug arises when you change the braking zones of cars
  12. There is no chance to fix the out of sight bug. That's why all AI mods for F1 2011 are useless. Unfortunately.
    And without editing braking points and corner speed, the AI will never be on the same level like the player. They are way too slow.

  13. 1. What do you mean by how it performs? They're obviously better than the other teams, but they're not more than a second faster (per lap).
    2. Well they don't block you, I haven't still started working on this.
    3. Retirements are something I'm looking to fix. Every race I get at least 2 or 3 retirements which is stupid because they're almost always from the top drivers.
    4. Haven't seen a safety car lately. I'm usually testing on 3 laps or 10%. I've done only a few 20%+ races.
    5. Red Flags are implemented in the original game, I don't have to add it.

    As for the early breakings - I've written I won't change it at least for now. Now I just want to make the AI more realistic not by lap times but only by reaction.

    I didn't understand you about Petrov. He's too strong or too weak from your point of view?

    I haven't edited the cornering speed and breaking zones and I still have it. I think I know from what this happens and we'll see if I'm right.
  14. I was thinking he was trying to lap them didn't he and if not he must had some kind of accident earlier in the game

    and PM me your files i will try to test them in the Career mode and also in GP Mode in tracks Monaco ,Singapore etc...

    I will only do 100% races and i will post the details and can't you make the top teams available for season1 just like F1 2011 Exciter Mod did ?????

  18. His mod messes more up than it fixes. it also forces the out of sight bug, but he does not care and does even not mention it, so the most people don't know that this bug is in.
  19. @kristiannn.......He is talking about falcon444 not yours, he can't judge your mod yet since yours is not done.

    Practice 1:
    I decided to do only one Practice session in order to get a Overview of the track and breaking zones
    In p1 i saw the cars are trying to line up for passes in straights and getting some small amount of damage in turns especially in sector 2
    But they are trying to pass me and they succeeded i must say cos they are in options and i was in primes
    I saw Alguersuari caused a yellow flag at pit entrance he got spun and i saw it when i was crossed the Box turn and entering into pits So the cars are taking out themselves

    It was a good sign here

    I skipped to Qualifying session when the remaining time was 30 min

    I saw Sutil retired at the end of S/F straight by colliding with Glock forcing both of them to retire and after that there are no retirements

    Started with options to go to Q3 and here i had some battle with Petrov and Button to get some free air they are also doing the same to get some good lap time
    it was a good improvement Mate
    I wish i can see it in race as it was a long race
    Unfortunately L.Hamilton was knocked out due to Di resta after a collision in the box turn making all of us to go slow But they get P13 and P14 after end of Q2

    Shooot out and i was in middle of Petrov and webber and fought hard to overtake Petrov to get some clean air
    Button was the quickest among all of us
    Alonso used his DRS wing at the S/F straight begining and spun causing a Collison with Schumacher,perez,Massa and Kobayashi
    Alonso Massa Kobayashi and Schumacher posted lap times but Perez get completely retired and didn't posted laptime

    My review :
    1.It was so far so good but i will test it how this things are carrying over in the race
    2.The AI was faster in some corners and i can see some debris in the track especially at the chicanes and Box turns
    3.The pace of bottom teams is good so don't change their pace
    but reduce the pace of Tier 3 as they are getting equal to tier 2 always
    4.I think due to the Damage Multiplier value of 1.3 the AI is getting retired rather than getting damaged as this track was a Closed street circuit but i want to test it in open tracks like Monza,Spa or Canada and check its details
    I will post another review after completing the race​
