Whats happened to retro Thursdays?

I assume there are not enough regular drivers? Perhaps we could use mods to attract people who do not have the Retro Pack. Here are some retro mods in my public skydrive:

For more information on the mods in the above link do an internet search on the file names. Also, please let me know if any of these mods contain ripped 3d models from other games. I know that the Merc 300 is okay and I think the Escort V8 Challenge is okay but I do not know about the others. I used to have the GTL mod in my public skydrive until I found it was not legal.

Perhaps people did not want to spend time learning circuits (Mosport and Sachenring were fantastic though). Maybe it would be a good idea to use the same circuit as one of the other races in that week (STCC, Formula Ford, Camaro Cup, Mini Friday).

I would like to see BMW Mini vs Retro Mini and\or Retro Max vs WTCC (weights may be needed on WTCC).

I'm not entirely sure what you mean, to be honest. There has been a Retro event every Thursday with more to come, so they're not going anywhere yet. If you're talking about attendance then to be honest, I think that's just the way it is. Racing classic cars is not for everyone, especially when they are more used to modern cars.

If you're really into cars from yesteryear then perhaps you would like to check out our GT Legends club? The game is very cheap, attendance is generally good, and there are far more cars both in the game and available as mods.

@Martin Leyfield the skyline is ripped from Shift 1 so illegal to use here, the Nissan Fairlady 240zg seems to have been made from scratch for the rest i haven,t check those. i will test the Nissan 240zg to see if its similar in time then the others max and if they all are match i might use it in the future.

Edit: the Escort V8 is legal to use too and have been use in the pass and if it will be use again its gonna be on the Saturday events in the mod night.

@ Yves: The Nissan 240ZG is a bit faster than Retro Max in the hands of AI drivers. The big old Mercedes 300SEL is the same speed at Retro Max at medium and fast circuits. However, neither of these cars come close to the uber fun of Escort V8 Challenge. The Riverside event a year ago was a scream.

Martin do we have the same game or mod (which i have downloaded from your link) cause in my game the 240ZG is 1,4 second slower then the Vette in the AI hands

I did an offline Monza race with 240ZG, Camaro, and Merc 300SEL (plus a couple of other cars). The 240ZG's were at the front and seemed to pull away but maybe the Camaro was slowed down. I will test the 240ZG and Corvette at Brno.

Use a different track. Monza isn't much good because it measures flat out speed. You need a track with a proper balance of corners to get stuck into. That's important in these old cars because their cornering ability (and therefore overall pace) can be wildly different, unlike modern touring cars.

I think Brno is a good test of power vs handling. I will also take a Nissan 240ZG round the Puebla Oval; I do low 41 seconds in the Camaro and know how to set cars up for oval.
